This subject has been on my mind a lot lately. I began reading The Creative Act: A Way of Being by Rick Rubin. Amazing book. Could we begin to create again for the process and not the result? Right now I think perfection may come not by striving for it, but by letting go of the control we so desperately seek. Maybe letting our art take the reigns as we focus on finding our inner child, we may find what we're looking for in the form of perfect imperfection.
woah this is so good!! i have yet to read that book, i really want to!! perfectionism also gets in the way of me just creating for the act of creating. kids are a huge inspiration for me, they love to create things without boundaries
