1990 Halifax JV vs. Williams Valley JV SCRIMAGE
Filmed by Max Bowman and played on the Williams Valley High School football field, this capturing documents a rarely-seen-on-tape scrimmage of the Halifax Junior Varsity football team, played in 1990 (12-24, Halifax loss). HAHS FUN FACT: At the 4:30 to the 4:50 mark, the viewer can see #83, Ryan Bowman (President of the Halifax Area Historical Society), make a smooth catch and touchdown for the Halifax team. Notice the family spectators call to Ryan's father, Max (filming), saying "Ryan caught one! Hey Max! Ryan finally caught up with one!"

Didn't realize these traditions from Germany were also in the US. It's amazing these kids don't grow up struggling with PTSD from the likes of Belsnickel, Krampus, Knecht Ruprecht and the like!
Thanks for the comment Armchair Statistician! It is quite amazing that German traditions (along with countless others from other countries) came to the United States and that we see them to this day. It is true...those figures do look rather rough around the edges...but, if admirable, the Belsnickel in particular is quite a docile fellow. We hope to see you at the parade this year celebrating our 20th Anniversary of the event!
