N.E.A. Elevators
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 26 มี.ค. 2008
Welcome to my channel. I grew up in central Arkansas with a fascination of elevators. Even when I became stuck in one in the mid 1980's, I stopped riding them for a few years. Even though I was terrified to ride them during this time, I still would call the elevator and would reach in pressing a button to send it away so I could hear the sounds of the hydraulic pumps and relay machines. I then conquered my fear and began riding them and continue to do so.
I would say my favorite brand was Montgomery as that is the first elevator I can recall ever riding. Now that I have aged and rode many more, I feel that the most reliable elevators are Dover's from the 1960-1970's. My favorite type is hydraulic due to the motor sounds.
Every day, I go through my subscriptions and place the elevator videos in a watch list so I never miss a good elevator video. While I'm not perfect at filming them, I do hope you enjoy my channel.
Feel free to subscribe and I will do the same.

Located in the medical district, this particular building is very unusual with the elevator setup. The elevator beside this one has a floor plate with a logo on the floor plate from the 60's to mid 70's. This elevator seems like an overall newer elevator. An additional building was added to this one in 2011. The elevator beside it shares the shaft with this one so I am unsure if this elevator w...

Located in the medical district, this particular building is very unusual with the elevator setup. This elevator has a floor plate with a late 70's to early 80's logo. The elevator directly beside it has the older OTIS logo on the floor plate from the 60's to mid 70's. Both were modded and updated by Otis with new controllers, fixtures, and cabs. I presume that they had Lexan fixtures prior as ...

This is located in downtown Oklahoma City OK in the medical district. This elevator is nice but uniquely has no lights installed. Neither does the one beside it. There is a key switch for lights but it shows that it is on. Since the lobby stays well lit, I guess that is why they never put or replaced the lights inside. After hours, this elevator is very dark. It runs very well but tends to over...

This is the same elevator from my recent (A Cold Otis Under level) At an undisclosed location in the downtown Oklahoma City medical district, this is a staff elevator at this facility. Many times, it will over or under level as when I ride it, it has usually sat for hours on end. There are times when it behaves normally. There are two scenic Otis elevators that also have the same behavior when ...

The people getting off of the elevator were a little freaked out as it was a little low on oil and they were not expecting the unique noise prior to the doors opening.

Based on the floor plate, this was most likely an mid 1970's Lexan Otis.

These Otis hydro's have the original "eye curtain" style sensors. Otis was the first that I ever saw these on. You can see each individual sensor with these. These hydro's are very bouncy when stopping. This one has a loud vibration to its motor when going up!

Amazing!
Great!
If only all Schindler elevators had this kind of leveling
You in OKC these days? I just moved down here a few weeks ago
I am. I moved here about a year ago.
@neaelevator That’s nice man! Have fun in Oklahoma City! I hope you can go to to an Oklahoma City Thunder Game one day! I’ve never been to OKC, but will do one day to go see the Thunder play!
@@neaelevator nice!
ThyssenKrupp got this one
Great!
Good
Seen it before, rode it before. Nice elevator
Good
Reminds me of a Montgomery at a Macy's at a mall near me which was low on oil. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the elevators were last inspected in 2017 so I notified the staff there.
nothing like a good Series 1
I hope you had permission to do this. Because using elevators keys unauthorized without permission is considered illegal and can be against the law depending on what you are doing with the key. However, owning an elevator key, that is legal and totally ok
Yes this was a function of my employment.
He is authorized personnel in the building shown. Similarly, in downtown where I live, I'm authorized in a building not far from my house to use my keys.
Seen a few of these back in Knoxville where they're based. Modded a few Dover elevators.
My Friend from 2nd Grade 11 Years ago when I was in the same grade moved to Tulsa Oklahoma!
Good
Great
Good
For some reason this has been breaking down a lot lately. The past few times I’ve tried to film it it’s been out of service.
How much is your 0ne green size bed cost
Good
Hey! Thanks for the Sub!
Yet you didn't show the eye curtain sensors, I was hoping to see them lol
I thought of that when I posted it. I will get another take and point it out!.
That elevator was a Haughton elevator with Adams in Sears but it closed in 2018 :(
I like the red door
I know this comment is a bit late but what was the elevator like?
If memory serves me correctly it was a Schindler. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get a video from it as this was a very late in/early out stop for me.
@@neaelevator ok thank you very much
I’ve always been curious as to what would happen if you turned the phase 2 key switch on inside the elevator without turning the phase 1 key switch on? Would phase 1 still activate or would nothing at all happen since phase 1 was never activated before the phase 2 switch was activated?
If I recall correctly, you are correct in that it does nothing. I will have to try this out.
Dover Traditional with an Otis slap-on mod! The indicator remains original.
Unfortunately that elevator was sealed off and that mall is dying and its actually installed in 1975
That elevator was broken for a long time and it is now fixed when it was put into service it was shaky but now its not as bad
A Dover with an Otis Slap-on mod!
I think I rode this when I was in Tulsa, seemed to run fine for a strip mall
RIP to I am gonna assume is the oldest Impulse and DMC elevator discovered so far 1983-2023 May it rest in Elevator Heaven
Dover buzz doesn’t sound that good
Very nice. Congrats on 1k subs🥳
Thank you!!
It looks like they repainted the exterior.
A few Montgomery hydraulic elevators with the square buttons at the Peppermill Hotel/Casino resort in Reno, Nevada have the same power unit sound.
Oh that Dover buzz is annoying
Nice elevator 👍
This thing sucks lol
I actually twisted my ankle pretty bad on one of the sidewalks at this building haha
Oh that would not be fun! Home everything healed well.
I think this is Macy's and the buttons were replaced on the inside about a year ago I think.
I thought it was gonna do a epco gong
Drive away
When was that elevator installed?
This one was installed in 2003.
Unfortunately, this got a new pump unit. Other than that, everything else is still original.
You are correct! I hope they keep it this way for a while, however they are building a new Fine Art Building that I feel will cause this one to be demolished in a few years. I no longer live and work in this area so I may never get to ride this one again. :(
I remember riding this elevator!
I didn’t see this elevator at the central mall in Ft Smith, Arkansas.
This one is right in the middle of the main corridor when walking out of Dillards. It also serves the same parking garage area that the Dillard's elevator goes down into.
The startup was the best one I've ever heard
THE EPICNESS IS REAL
