Cruz
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 7 ก.ค. 2015
Originally a producer, Cruz did some research and decided he wanted to engineer, like Jimmy Iovine and Young Guru. After moving from Atlanta to Orlando to attend Full Sail University, Cruz graduated in 2010. Within 6 months, worked double duty as a Roc The Mic Studios intern and in audio/visual at the 40/40 Club, in New York City. Becoming Meek Mill’s engineer in 2013, the two have been inseparable since with Cruz playing a jack of all trades role on Expensive Pain. Now, immortalized in Meek’s “Turn me up, Cruz!” ad-lib and running a success publishing company, The Motivation Music, Cruz’s legacy is rock-solid.

what mic, pre & comp do you use ?
yo this is interesting but I’m a little confused, I’m going into mechanical engineering and I don’t know too much about audio engineering. What is the reasoning behind having such short notice calls where you have to take a flight to somewhere? Like what exactly do you do where they need there on the spot right away?

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Humble dude great work !!!!
🔥🔥🔥 seen cruz instantly click. Appreciate dawg for doing things like this for us striving to reach your level
Never seen autopan used like that but I’m not knocking it 👀Microshift by soundtoys is another cool option for stereo imaging with a vocal
dude says absolutely nothing about what mic they used
Wow ty..
Wish you could have someone convert this Template over to Fl studio using waves plugins along with waves studio rack, Because a lot of us like recording in Fl but would still like to buy your template or sell all presets used converted into waves files
It Would Be Harder Just To Convert The Template To FL It Uses Waves and Stock Avid Plugins As Well Not All Plugins Are Made Equal I Have Several FLP If You’re Interested
And Understand That Protools Is The Industry Software For Movies and Music Majority Of Everyone Is Using It That Doesn’t Mean Other People Aren’t Using Other Daws I’ve Seen Billie Elish Recording In Logic I’ve Seen Pop Smoke Recording In FL and I’ve Seen Six Nine Recording In Mixcraft Templates Are Good To Help and Every Template Doesn’t Sound The Same and It’s Okay Artist Use Different Vocals Chains All The Time FL Is Still A Major Part Of Beat Making I Have Both Protools and FL
@@10MilliJay Hi!Can i get a link for Pop Smoke's video?I'm interested everything about Pop's recording process.Mic,DAW,gears everything!
Ben thomas is the reason why post 2019 is mixed like poop
What did he mean by 20 20 20 ?
all 3 main settings in autotune he sets to 20 20 20.... retune speed, flex , humanize.. turn each one to 20
thank you bro @@blancomixedit
I want to know if Travis ever dealt with CPU issues. I never hear ANY mainstream artists talk about not having enough processing power to run their sessions. Like, Travis songs have SO MANY EFFECTS I wonder how he was able to run all those seamlessly in 2011 on a MacBook in Logic when he first started. (Far before any M1 or M2 chips) It’s strange, so many of us engineers have dealt with CPU overload problems at some point in their careers. It’s just interesting we don’t ever hear Kanye get angry and RANT about ILOK or Travis mad the computer isn’t powerful enough to run all his VOX effects. I also don’t think a large % of these rappers even know about changing the sample rates back and fourth. (Of course $$$ solves these problems) Maybe it’s the fact that the big studios are using DSP (Apollo X __) and it just doesn’t happen 🤷🏾♀️
🔥🔥🔥🔥
"Turn me up Cruz"
Is there I walkthrough video that shows settings for every plugin? I use Ableton and wouldn't mind paying for a walkthrough video.
is there any possibility to get this for logic?
Whenever Meek say turn me up some cruz ... chills🔥 you know he gonna be talking different
this hella deep

What's the difference between the 2 reverbs? Is one used subtle and the other for heavy presence?
This is Dope Cruz appreciate the game Bro! Keep them Gems coming!
Bro I was looking for this video again for the longest time
thanks for sharing game, Cruz. sending you love!
Dope videos. I also have issues with AutoKey not changing on first click so I just leave it open and click it a bunch of times throughout the entire tracking session.
This is great 👍
whats the name of your big ass monitors in the back?
Augspurger probably

'PromoSM' 😻
Yessir. I’m heavy on passing info down to the next person. At the end of the day. We acquired so many knowledge through our experiences, feels wrong to not pass it down.
Watching this really got me ready to upgrade and learn more on the engineering side of creating. I’ll be tuned in. Appreciate the knowledge you’re giving. Peace and love
Let’s go!
Got the first temp years ago! Used it to build my own template that I’ve used for all my projects ! Copped this new one just to support 💥 Even with a promo code I paid full price just because you were the first to make it simple for me 🙏🏻
Much love! I appreciate you 🙏🏼
@@TurnMeUpCruz no joke bless str888 frm JA
@@TurnMeUpCruz Do you ever adjust the compression ? & If so which compressor or plugins in general do you mainly find your self adjusting? Or is everything pretty much set to go ?
@@Outwestbaby290 Always adjusting! Depends on what the song calls for. That goes for any compressor. My classic go to compressors are R-Vox and R-Compressor
@@TurnMeUpCruz But say I wanted to import my mixing template which already has two compressors to your template should I mute the two compressors in your aux track and just use mines ?
I just bought the template and mines did not come with the one in your video?
www.breakitdwn.com/products/break-it-down-sauce-pro-tools-template You grabbed this one?
