This isn’t a turbo German it’s a Ronnie / spinner rig a turbo has no quick change swivel at all and the braid is tied to the hook and a kicker added

Due to illness, I've not fished for 10+ years. A lot of what was used to make this rig were not even around then. But it looks really simple. However. Going back to when I did fish, never in a million years would it have crossed my mind to attach the hook using a linked swivel. The only time they were ever used in fishing then were to attach lures for spinning et Al.

I have been wondering if you could use a Ronnie(Spinner) in a bag for better hook ratio than just the traditional Hair rig/Bolt rig set up. I have been getting done by some of the larger finickier Carp on a local spot I fish. The small ones just recklessly gobble up the bag so it’s no problem with hooking them, it’s the 20+ that seem to finesse me every time.

That exact rig has caught so many Thames carp for the last 20 years, I use a 20mm bottom bait and a 15mm pop up, excellent rig

Every time I go to wryeside I blank on the carp caught some lovely monster tench on match lake but yet to catch a carp in the carp lakes, the place is always jam packed with tons of bait being put in great job catching in there wish I could, I am going again in October hopefully I’ll get one but wouldn’t dare hold my breath ✌🏻🎣

Great vlog.....Wildboar actually used to be the old match lake on Abbey back in the day.....the shallower end of the lake used to have dead trees absolutely everywhere in the water.....crazy to think it’s now doing 50s.....👍
