I have started learning CFA about a month ago and making good progress with a decent level of recall. However I work a full time grad job in a different sector and so a 6 month window from start to exam is not realistic for me. How would you suggest splitting my time.
did he just put a paywall on a spreadsheet
Hi Brandon I’ve just been through the curriculum but I struggle with the difficult to expert level Questions , I see myself guessing alot with those theoretical questions What would you say is the best way to improve ?
Do you offer 1 on 1 tutoring sessions for the CFA. I am wiling to pay.
Sorry, but I don't offer that
Hey Brandon. This was very helpful. Is there a way to access your notes? They seem very comprehensive and would be helpful !!
Glad you found it helpful! No, I do not give or sell my notes. They are filled with copied and pasted text and screenshots of Kaplan's test material and it wouldn't be legal to distribute that
The book, or 2nd chapter, is extremely boring, that bank robbery story is very uninteresting. Thank you for the summary.
hii! Brandon, I’m a newer in TH-cam, and i don’t know how and where to download your resources about notion, anki , bread and butter, and I’m really looking forward to start my CFA level 1, please tell me how to download~~~~❤

Hey Brandon, do you think the $380 package for the CFA material will suffice or not? Could you please explain why.
Sorry for the late reply. Are you talking about the CFAI material or a study provider like Kaplan?
use 300hrs free excel who cannot afford this
I don't have the money or brains to do this, Why am I watching this😮
The Ackerman plan seems bullshit

Could you do another 10 there are some that have reversal laws
I would put in the top 10 know when to go past your mark that’s a very important one
That is a good one!
Hi Brandon! When you were practicing tons of questions on Kaplan, would you click on only Applied questions or both Applied and Fundamental?
I believe I would do both
Hi I found your channel and looking at getting your system. Quick question, how many months out would you recommend to schedule for the cfa1?
5 to 6 months would be my recommendation
@@bhill-biznessprofessionals Does your spreadsheet only work with Kaplan or can I easily modify with the Mark Meldrum?
@@emptyxnes It's built for Kaplan in the sense that it includes the table of contents of Kaplan's material. But it contains the same Topics and Readings that standard with the CFA material. I haven't personally modified it for Mark's material, but I know many have. The spreadsheet can be easily edited. Nothing is locked
Nicely done and greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Hi Brandon, did you first create your notes and then use the spreadsheet to track repeated revision sessions, or does creating notes for 1.1 count as your first input on the dashboard?
I'd create my notes and flashcards, then review them right after. Then I'd enter that first review on the spreadsheet
What did your review schedule look like on a day when you had 4 sections to review for example? Just problems and flashcards from the review sections and then into the new material? I'm preparing for level 1, have a good study routine but my review routine sucks and I'm not sure how to effectively split my time so i don't fall behind on readings but still get my review in. Example, i study for 3-4 hours per day on week days; would you do 1 hour of review, then the remaining 2-3 hours of studying afforded to new material? Or how much of your study time would be allocated to review for you each day? Did you get through a reading per day or a full section per day? Specifically, a "section" normally includes 3-4 readings in fixed income for example.
Yes, when I had 4 sections to review, I would review my flashcards and do a few practice problems from Kaplan. If I didn't understand something, I'd go back to the textbook material. I typically went back and forth between reviewing material and learning new material. I would review a few sections, for example, then learn a new section, and then go back to reviewing the remaining sections. Whenever I switched, it felt like a break to me. With Kaplan, there are the Topics, the Readings, and then the "sections." I tried to learn 2 new sections per day. 2 sections may seem low, but once you start reviewing past lessons, your study load per day will build up pretty quickly. Most of my studying time on any given day was spent reviewing material.

Thank you so much. Also I felt the way you speak is very relaxing and calming mind.
Thank you!
Very nicely explained 😃
Yes
Thanks!
here comes the question. How to build a mechanism for spaced retrieval. how to retrieve smoothly?
my CFA video on my channel shows how I created a spreadsheet to help with spaced retrieval. Maybe it can give you some ideas
Don't forget about the office politics and (potentially) toxic environment in a big company
True!
Algorithm algorithm algorithm algorithm algorithm algorithm algorithm algorithm. I'm a college dropout. I think two things I had wrong was a vaccine reaction towards concentration and good study habits skills. Don't know why I couldn't get focus reading textbooks.
Can I buy your anki flash cards, not the template?
No, I don't sell those, sorry. They contain screenshots and copy and pasted material from Kaplan. Can't re-distribute that
@@bhill-biznessprofessionals what if I have already bought Kaplan… lowkey my man🫡🫡🫡
Dear Brandon, are you planning to make a similar video for CFA Level II? That would be very awesome. And thanks a lot for all the tips, this helped me to pass the CFA Level I exam. Best, Pascal
I’m glad i could help! Unfortunately, there’s no level 2 video planned. The methods would apply to level 2 as well.
@@bhill-biznessprofessionals That's true that the techniques can be applied as well for the Level II exam. Will definitely use the excel tracking sheet again, that was such a powerful tool. Thanks again for all the tips and tricks!

Thank you for the great summary - informative and concise! I've watched a few and by far this was the best. However I must concurr with the rest of the comments: the background music is mighty distracting. Anyways, thanks!
Noted. Thanks for feedback!
Hey Brandon ! Does the spreadsheet for 2025 only align with the Kapln content? Like it won’t help me if i just depends on the cfa content or Mark ? Thank you cz I already look forward to it
It is built for Kaplan’s material because it references their table of contents. The spreadsheet can be easily edited and I know several have adapted the sheet for using Mark’s material. I have not done this myself though, so I can’t comment on the experience of doing so
Hi brandon, i sent you an email regarrding my Anki purchase, please read it. Thanks!
I replied
i am not sure you can claim 95+ percentile scorer. The furthest you can claim is 90th percentile
Is there a way that i cann try this spreadsheet for another topic? It looks so good, but it's all CPA related
Yes, the spreadsheet can easily be edited. You can swap out these CFA lessons for the topic you'd like. You can also delete rows, add rows, and copy the formulas into the new rows and the spreadsheet will continue to work.
@@bhill-biznessprofessionals Thank you for the reassurance :)
for my case my team and i trust each other and was planning to quit. So we did look for jobs and even though i did not have any solid offers, i quit first shortly followed by my teammates. In the company we were pretty much isolated and given crap to the point i see guys cry almost on a daily basis from being verbally and mentally abused by the bosses. in the end even though i waited over a year to get a job, it has been healing. It may not be for everyone especially if there isn't any savings to sail you through the jobless months.
Hello Bhill, are there any big differences between the 2025 material from the 2024? I want to buy all but of 1 year. I intend to take the noverber exam , buy maybe I don't get it and I'd go to the 2025 exam. Help me please.
There are minor differences. I'd say go ahead and purchase the 2024 sheet. If you end up deciding to take the exam in 2025, you can reach back out to me
@@bhill-biznessprofessionals thanksss. Plus can we pay it with paypal? Or only credit card
Tesher before he blew up Jokes apart, thanks for the insights!
hey wanted to ask if i want to decide myself which topics to study according to "Todays date" will the " todays studys column show " the topic youve put according to ur plan or can we choose what to study today accrding to own plan each day . Also, do we have to plan every topic to study on each day upfront ?
You can study the topics in any order you like, at the pace you like. You do not need to plan each day upfront. You can study 3.1 one day and 51.1 the next day. I frequently studied things out of order as well.
Can I get this now to prepare for 2025?
The updated materials for 2025 should be published at this link in the description by the end of this week
@@bhill-biznessprofessionals Thank you so much!!!!
@@bhill-biznessprofessionals Hey Brandon I'm not sure why but in the spread sheet any date I change as today's date doesn't produce any topic for me to study today
