AXIA Design is a Toronto and Hong Kong-based Architecture and Design studio founded in 2010 with a vision to pursue excellence in the design of buildings, spaces, and the elements within.
AXIA continues to diversify its expertise, and maintain the highest standards of design. Through site-specific methodologies to each and every design challenge, our work addresses its geographic, social, and cultural context. The studio builds knowledge through multidisciplinary practice, both internally as well as with an expanded network of expertise. Hengqin Island Masterplan
In September 2013, President Xi Jingpin of the People’s Republic of China announced his vision of the Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. Through the development of a broad network of infrastructure, a regional framework for economic cooperation is formed between Asia, Europe, and Africa.
As part of this expanded network, AXIA developed the International Business Hub Masterplan for Henqin island in the Pearl River Delta. Its unique geographic location, diverse human resources, and extensive infrastructure network, make Henqin island the ideal platform for the 60 participating countries to connect and meet for business opportunities.

Stumper VR Pod

AXIA working alongside technology companies such as Thirteenth Floor, SUBPAC, and Samsung, developed a pod for Stumper, an experiential VR game. The first generation was displayed in Seoul at a VR expo by Samsung. The studio continues to develop and test a more refined model for future use.
StudioFeed Concept Design

StudioFeed is an incubator for music, technology, and community. It will bring artists, engineers, entrepreneurs, designers, activists, and the greater music community under one roof. Re-occupying and inhabiting an existing structure, it will be a place of artistic expression, technological innovation, entrepreneurial training, and public gathering.
