Hello. Can I connect two ceiling lights into one terminal of line connector so that they are operated with the same switch?

gonna run all my hallway and bathroom lights from 1 existing outlet, never tried anything like this before, everything makes sense now

The channel name 'Artoo Electrical' implies some knowledge of electrical work, but the advice given here is not compliant with UK electrical regulations. Unsheathed conductors should not be pushed into a ceiling or wall void and those connectors are also not suitable for use without being properly enclosed. Anyone following this advice is creating a potential electric shock/electrocution risk and also the potential for fire. I won't go into the numerous reasons why this 'fix' is not acceptable under UK wiring regulations, but would suggest the video be taken down and would reiterate that this is not an acceptable means of replacing one light fitting with another. The fact that a light works does not necessarily mean that it is safe to use.

This method does not comply with wiring regs. It is not acceptable to just push the Wago connectors into the ceiling like that. They must be enclosed.

Anyone who follows this is introducing a fire hazard into their home. This person is clearly not an electrician and hence has no regard for safety you must not put exposed connectors into a ceiling space it is dangerous!!

Even easier to connect the lamp (bulb) with a 2 core + earth wire straight to a plug head with a 3 AMP fuse and then plug into a nearby socket.

This is so helpful. I have old wiring pre 2004, Also due to positioning, I'm having to view inside the rose upside down so it's a tad complicated. However, this has been extremely helpful not only as regards to 'how to' but also for tools to use.

Some outlet boxes have switches that have to be manually wired to the two socket terminals. With this type of outlet box, could you connect the live wire going to the light switch directly to one of the outlet box switch terminals?
