Richmond Park Cycle Club - Ranmore Common & Box Hill Highlights
Sunday 24 Feb - RPCC Club Run to Ranmore Common & Box Hill
Apologies for the shaky footage, handlebar-wrestling, bad audio & out of sync HUD - this is my first attempt at recording a club ride!!!
Climb grades according to Strava (pretty sure they are not all that accurate!)
Interesting bits:
1. Staple Lane: 1:07
2. "Am I on camera now? Yeah, wave." 6:45 [Jai you owe me £40]
3. Crocknorth Rd: 7:34
4. Ranmore Common Descent: 12:15 [Awesome section]
5. Box Hill: 15:02 [Slow & Steady]
I'm in the gutter in some places primarily because I'm not paying attention, it's all good :)

The camera battery ran out shortly after Box Hill, and yes next time I'll try helmet mounted as the handlebar mount isn't exactly great!

Nice vid but sounds like you're riding a cement mixer ;) Hope to make it out that way myself next year.
For some reason I can't reply to comments!? #wtfyoutube So to answer some questions... Piers my max heart rate on that ride was 165bpm at the top of Crocknorth, on paper it's about 185 but rarely goes above 170 when I'm doing that kind of ride. Oxford Paul this was the Sony Action Cam AS15 mounted to the handlebar and the on screen gauges were created using Verymadmart's free Java software called Cyclecam. Though I would now use Garmin's free VIRB editing software.
What is your max hr?
Great video. I'm planning a similar ride later this week taking in Staple Lane, Ranmore Common and Box Hill so it's useful to get the view from the road. What camera are you using here, and do you need a separate device to get your stats included on screen? Thanks, Paul.
