Brush Cutting Wet Neglected Fields!

Today we do some farm maintenance greasing up the tractors as we wait for the weather to hopefully get more dry so we can bale. Unfortunately we got unlucky again and the hay got rained on. First Baling Of The Season!

Waging A Great Beaver War!

We got down in the trenches and used pieces of the beavers own dam against them. They put up a good fight be we were able to reduce three of the beaver dams allowing the water to rush through once again. Stay tuned for the next video where we continue to work on the dams and bring the beavers to justice!
Saying Goodbye To Our Friends :(

Today's the day we say goodbye to the piggies. we estimated they weighed about 300 pounds before we sent them to the butcher. Come along with us as we try to get them into our trailer and ship them off.
Transporting Our Pigs For Cheap!

Today we take a trailer from Tractor Supply and turn it into a mini livestock trailer! This i a cheaper option if your don't have that many pigs or smaller livestock to transport. Can't say as if I've ever eaten a beaver before, although I guess I wouldn't be opposed to trying it. We were more focused on trying to let the beavers not eat us :)

Brother, I finally began cattle farming in lower Alabama in 2017 after I retired from the Military. My wife and I do this part time. Started pretty much with our own money as this was a dream of mine since I was 15 now I am 58 and love every part of it. Enjoy the journey and keep the vids coming.

How often do you sheer sheer bolts?
We probably baled 4000 bales this year just getting started, and that was the only shear bolt I went through.
@@vromanfarms well that’s reassuring to hear looking at getting one and they looked like they can plug easily
@sam unruh Everything went really well with it this year. I have no complaints it baled right along. I only plugged in that one spot, and the grass was about 6 ft tall when I mowed it and really thick, so the wind rows were massive.
@@vromanfarms good to hear do y’all use like a bale baron or bandit to pick them up?
@sam unruh No. We're looking into a new Holland stack wagon, but last year we picked them up by hand as we're trying to keep overhead low while we grow.

Nope! They stayed in all the time we had them, just needed a little getting used to the fence.
Inline balers are not as easy to remove a stoppage as side draws.......For rebaling I liked our 5070 NH better......than the 1840 we are presently using.....
