Reminds me of an old couple that lived in my city when I was a kid. They were still driving their navy blue Packard Patrician in the 70's. It was a very regal looking car even then. You just knew they were going to keep driving their 56 until a new one came out. Unfortunately, 56 was the last year for true Packard's. I find it odd Packard would even build this color combination. They are both beautiful, but not together. The next year Packard had push button drive, and reversible seat cushions. Too bad they made a fatal mistake buying Studebaker. The Packard President wanted Studebaker, Nash, Hudson, and Packard under one Corporate roof, which almost happened. Many big Nash and Hudson cars were powered by Packard V8's.

That is not the original steering wheel, that is from a 59 Chevy. People like to use them but I personally prefer the original wheel the 57’s came with.

I have my 1955 Buick Special Convertible 46(C) in Stafford Blue Metallic for thirty three years. Yours cannot be a "Special" since it has four portholes and a "turned" dashboard. Specials have three portholes and a non-turned dash. Your upholstery is a better grade than they put in the Specials. Your car, at a minimum has to be a Century or Super. You should check the VIN on the driver side door frame pillar. Beautiful car. Mine is also totally restored and practically the identical color.

Thank you Lisa It's the worst thing that has happened to me....I think of her every day. She had just gotten out of 6 months of rehab.....all clean.... happy, she was back to her old self before drugs.....I went with her to get her a Halloween costume the week before. Hugged and said our I love you's......a week later gone. We didn't have a funeral, just a gathering at the church.......over 300 people were there. She was getting a job as a drug counselor. She sent a friend a message she was dying to get high one last time. She got a "blue" from her friend from the rehab. Amphetamine but we think it was laced with fentanyl. We still haven't gotten the toxicology report. I'm broken, Ayden seems to be the only one that dealt with her passing.....I guess he had so many disappointments and broken promises from her he was already dealing with her loss a long time ago....Ayden is doing pretty good. In boxing now. Anyway hope you are well.

12 volt in a 6 volt vehicle is detrimental to all the electrical appliances that the vehicle came with. I'm certain your generator isn't operational either. That is why the starter is fried. Also purchasing a vehicle from other individuals, who " changed or cobbled" this electrical system from factory 6 volt positive ground to 12 volt, is no excuse for not restoring it to factory components.

Convertible or not, this is one BEAUTIFUL IMPALA, one of the sharpest I've seen, the build on this car is TOP SHELF ALL THE WAY, SHORTY, on SHORTY's Custom Shop would love this IMPALA, This Car IS PERFECT!
