We could definitely put one together. The only issue is that no matter how much sound deadener is used, you still end up with some plastic rattles in the back. When you don't have the rear speakers, those buzzes stand out more. When the rear speakers are playing you don't hear that. If you happen to be coming to the MOA Rally this week, we'll have it on display to hear.

We've tried to video a before and after, but via the phone it's hard to really hear the difference because the microphone seems to adjust the volume of the recording. It's hard to define without seeing in person. It takes up less than a 10th of the bag space though.

They do stay connected, although you won't really hear them much. There is a plug under the seat you can disconnect to turn them off.

It’s definitely a pain! We thankfully have roll around shelving that gives us plenty of space to lay everything out and put the proper screws with the pieces they go to. Most of the screws are the same medium length, so it’s more important to take note of the oddball sizes.

It's hard to really be able to explain without being able to actually hear them. The 2.5 uses a 6 1/2" speaker, and also a "higher end" speaker. So it will have a little better overall tonal quality. That combined with the larger size and higher sensitivity, will definitely gain a little more volume over the 5 1/4".

The way they are manufactured we would not be able to. We've wondered about having them dipped, but the grills fit very tightly and we wonder how well the hydro dip would handle that?

@@DanielA23 we have a very limited few that are all black, but once they are gone they are gone. We also have a completely different style that can be made to work that we should have pictures of on a bike we're finishing up now.

The Stage 1 & 2 kits use an amp that’s 100x2 RMS. It’s able to deliver the full amount of continuous power that the speakers are able to handle.

The fuse holder that comes with the amplifier is to protect the amplifier itself. The fuse holder that we include is to protect the wire between the battery and the amplifier. If something were to manage to cut through the power wire, without a fuse it would be a dead short to the battery and could cause a fire. The enclosure does not have any sort of polyfill or sound deadening. Polyfill is generally used to smooth out peaks in the response due to enclosures that are too small. We plotted out the response with the t/s parameters and it's fairly smooth with no peaks to be concerned about. (We have a graphic of this, but I guess you can't post pictures in a comment on TH-cam) We also set up an RTA to measure the response and didn't notice any differences. As far as sound dampening goes, the walls of the pods have so many contours they have quite a bit of strength and don't experience any vibrations that are audible. Hope this helps!

We absolutely will be adding one. We'll just be limited to bike availability to shoot one off of. We have some panels headed out for paint soon, and hopefully will be able to shoot one when they return and our backorders are filled.

I wanna order the set with front and back speakers along with 4 channel amp… would be really helpful to see how the setup comes along. Also will the stock battery be able to take all that power load ? Combined with clearwater aux lights ?

We’ve never shot a before and after video to attempt to capture it. The difference is dramatic though. For the 2018+ bikes they have a single 3 1/2” speaker on each side with no tweeter and about 15 watts per channel. This upgrades to a co-axle 5 1/4” speaker with 100 watts per channel. The older bikes did have a tweeter, but still the lethargic amplifier. After the upgrades there are no issues hearing good audio at any speed, which definitely can’t be said for the OEM audio.

looking at a new bike and i left BMW because of the poor audio went back to Goldwing... now I would love to hear the difference having a hard time finding a video of anybody using this system...might be a good sales presentation @@MotorradAudio

It does. The amp senses a voltage on the speaker lines called DC offset, and turns itself on and off on its own. it saves you having to find a switched power source.

@@MotorradAudio Is it possible to use a switched power source with your system if I wanted to.

@@K1600_Rider technically you could run a separate remote turn on, but since the amp would still auto turn on due to DC offset, it wouldn't really accomplish anything. The power and ground that are run to the battery have zero residual draw when the amp is off, so you don't have to be concerned with current being drawn off the battery when the system is off.
