🌙 My Rook: Orianna de Ingellvar, Mourn Watcher I Warrior - Reaper🌙
I was super excited to bring my College of Whispers Bard, Orianna into Veilguard. One of the things I love to do is bring my tabletop characters into the videogames I play.
The de Ingellvars were a small but noble house within Nevarra. For generations, they worked beneath the royal families of the Pentaghast & Van Markham dynasties, serving as Keepers of the Grave. They served to observe the noble houses and ensure that any who sought to create abominations that go beyond the sacredness of life & death were eliminated. This often led the family to serving as the intermediary between those of the underworld and those of the royal dynasties.
One night, a fire was found to have engulfed the de Ingellvar's estate, claiming the lives of both parents and their three sons...or that's how the story goes. Unknown to everyone, the de Ingellvar's had a young daughter that they kept deep within the lower levels of their homes, isolated and unknown to the world. The night of the fire, the family butler, named Balor retrieved the young child from the recesses of the home and escaped into a Grand Necropolis.
It was sometime later when Orianna was found, alone deep within the tomb with a small de Ingellvar insignia on a piece of parchment that several undead discovered. The undead brought the small toddler to Vorgoth & Myrna of the Mourn Watch who kept her under their ever seeing eyes.
As she grew up, Orianna became rebellious, independent and very hesitant to trust others, often throwing herself into disputes and disrupting unrest within Nevarra. It was on this most recent dispute that the noble families began to question who she was. Fearing that she may be in danger, Myrna searched for an option to get Orianna out, when Varric showed up to darken her door....
