I loved the parodies they had on here. Obviously, the networks being parodied were a merge between the WB, FOX, and UPN. UPN and WB would merge into the CW. Rich Brats? 90210 That lake show? Dawsons’ Creek That show about the Black and Puerto Rican cop? That was a parody of New York Undercover. Especially when they replaced the Latino cop with the two white people. That killed NYU’s ratings. Obviously, Just Us was a parody of the Fresh Prince and some other show. Man, they really nailed down how black sitcoms were in the era after the Cosby show.

I watched this movie back in 2002 and been looking for it but couldn't remember the name of it and watching it today. I realized they used the Moesha set. This is still a great movie.

Some great Black indie movies in the late 90s and early 2000s, is Disappearing Acts here on TH-cam? And HBO, Cinemax and Showtime were really making some great one off movies!

Omg my professor showed us this movie when I was in college 7 years ago. We only got to the 1 hour and 7 minute mark. I just finished it finally. What a horrible ending

I actually uploaded it for myself, because I own the dvd and wanted a convenient way to watch it so I could get rid of my dvd player. I had no idea it was public! 😂😂 Anyway, glad you all enjoyed it! I guess I'll leave it up then!!! At least until it shows up on Tubi! It's such a powerful movie with so many messages that are relevant today.

I have been LOOKIN FOR THIS MOVIE ALL OVER!!!! Leave it to TH-cam!! It's so true. We always have to clown around to be accepted. Just finished watchin Bamboozled by the MAN Spike Lee as well. So many good messages in both these movies.... yet so underrated.

The part where Semaj commits suicide on set always bothered me. I felt for the dude, rough childhood, the stress of being a TV Star mix that with manic depression, being robbed in your hood, and Just when he’s able to provide for his BM and daughter, they get murdered and it ultimately broke him.
