Estrogen Dominance: we don’t want this, why is is happening?
Estrogen Dominance in Men (and women) is NOT GOOD!
Do YOU have high estrogen?
The answer for so many men, and women, in our country is YES. This is not good! See below for so many of the dangers as well as symptoms you may be experiencing.
The studies have shown how chemicals we are exposed to every day in food, water, and products may cause a huge drop in testosterone and rise of estrpogen, and affects on other systems of the body as well!
Other issues related to chemicals like this and estrogen dominance:
* PCOS (in ladies this is skyrocketing)
* Ovarian and Uterine cancers (also skyrocketing in women)
* Breast cancer (now affecting more and more women and men)
* Prostate cancer in men
* Abdominal weight gain
* Brain fog, mental health issues
* Irritability
* Low libido
* Fatigue and exhaustion
We MUST do better. Unfortunately, at this time, you have to advocate for yourself and your family. Not many in “traditional” medicine or government is coming to help, save, or educate you on the TRUTH!
Think about your little kids, your grandkids, the sickest generation to ever live. Partly due to things like this. They are literally growing up in the most CRUCIAL developmental years of their lives being exposed to these things greatly affecting their health and development.

    Hey coach would belly move in and out when we breath in tight position?

    • @drscottkeller
      @drscottkeller หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@shivangsaini3134 yes, absolutely! 👍 even in a “tight” or stable position, if needing to breathe the belly should still be able to expand. I say it like this because if someone is doing a one rep max back squat, for example, they wound inhale, brace/tighten, and hold more than likely. But being in this braced/tight position and still expanding in the belly is an eccentric movement of the core musculature such as the transverse abdominus. Such an important aspect too! This is why I would have people practice unloaded and not braced first, and then adding in the braced position next, such as holding a 90/90 position or during a movement such as a dead bug!

    Great video. Thanks for your work! What should be our "normal" rest breathing position (relaxed position or the tight position). Also 5 min daily practice is enough?

    • @drscottkeller
      @drscottkeller 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks. At rest you should be relaxed but if your core, including the diaphragm and pelvic floor are functioning properly there will always be sufficient “tone” in them. But also working these muscle groups and working breath at the same time as contracting and moving through various positions is also crucial to train your body to be able to adapt and move, but remain stable all at the same time. Is 5 minutes enough? Likely not but it is a starting point most people can accomplish. To re-train neuro-motor patterns such as breath and core activation can take years to actually do if someone has been “stuck” in improper patterns for a long time. So really the more the better! I have more recent videos that show a nice progression or “flow” that is commonly used! Here is link to the first video. They are short and sweet and to the point! m.th-cam.com/video/UrsltV-gwbQ/w-d-xo.html

      @drscottkeller 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I can agree with that, Bruce. Most of us don’t chew enough, as one of my other videos addressed. Too much water neutralizing the stomach acid is also detrimental, potentially. And I agree about hydrating more during the day between meals and not trying to “play catch up” in the evenings as then you risk interrupting sleep, as you said! All great points and are the small tips I try to give all of my patients! Thanks for your comment!

      @drscottkeller I guess rationally lol

    • @drscottkeller
      @drscottkeller 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TeamThorntonGames yes, that is funny, rationally. Medical doctors have training in specific fields just as other Doctors have training in different things. Most medical doctors do not have training in functional lab work, they could look at them and likely understand them, of course, but would not know where to begin with addressing the issues as they don’t have that training, and mostly the TIME to evaluate, interpret and strategize for someone. How do I know this, because I work with medical doctors daily to collaborate on patient care. Most of them have not the time nor the experience and are happy to have their patients, most of the time, to work with another provider such as myself or other functional medicine practitioners to help their patients. That is all that concerns me, getting the right help for my patients. Any other questions?

      I like to start with inhale down, exhale up, but ideally you should be able to breathe either way and not only one or the other. Takes time to practice but you want to maintain intra-abdominal pressure and proper breath no matter what you are doing for proper stabilization. In Real life we don’t focus on one or the other so I like to train variations. Hope that helps

      Hey! This video was meant to be about the most basic and first progression to evaluate if you are breathing correctly, able to stabilize in an unloaded position, and then brace and continue to breath with proper diaphragm activation. Majority of people cannot even do this correctly. After this is improved you can start progressing forward and using all sorts of other things (as you mentioned) but I like to follow a specific progression going to first things like the dead bug for example and then moving on from there. Hope that makes sense!

    The reason toddlers breathe into their bellies is also largely due to the fact that their ribs are at a more horizontal angle than adult rib cages are.

    • @drscottkeller
      @drscottkeller 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Although this may be true, proper breathing in adults should still begin with a downward contraction of the diaphragm and this expansion in the abdomen. Anything other than this is on a scale of paradoxical. Some mild, some severe and is case by case. But proper spinal stabilization depends on proper intra-abdominal pressures and it all starts with proper breath!

    • @andreafryettstudio
      @andreafryettstudio 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yeah and starting from about age 11 if you are female, people around you remind you daily to "not forget to suck in your gut". You can't possibly be an attractive female through puberty and beyond if you are breathing into a "pot belly", so self-consciousness ensues and breathing moves up into the chest in order to ensure an ever flat belly. Toddlers have not yet received that messaging so they are not worried about breathing naturally.
