A friend of mine sold me his authentic copy of emerald and sapphire for $50 each . I gave him the money without thinking it twise 😂 I know I would never find that game for cheaper than that and $50 is at least reasonable compared to the other competitive prices . I’m currently looking for platinum , and black or white 2 . I do understand how they have become collectibles now . I also agree that the prices are wild and unaffordable. I say if you can’t get emerald go for the remakes like Pokémon mega ruby . They cheaper and you can still shiny hunt . I honestly just got the authentic ones because of nostalgic reasons and it looks good on my SpongeBob edition gba sp that I had since forever . If you dint grew up with them you don’t need them at all unless you are a hardcore fan

In the original kingdom hearts, you get oathkeeper from kairi and oblivion from the room you fight riku. Oathkeeper and oblivion are from Sora’s memories of his two friends. I always thought it was interesting to examine the two words. Oath-keeping has to do with retaining a promise while oblivion is a state where you’re unable to remember or forgetting.

Pro tip: if you having trouble with a boss fight or something i recommend leveling up your drive a little bit so you can get movement abilities since once your faster than the boss you can dodge their attacks pretty easily (look up a guide on TH-cam if you don't know how to level up drive forms)

7:11 you can make weapons, accessories, and items you can’t buy in the shops, or even other synthesis items. Drive recovery, elixir, etc even the ultima weapon keyblade eventually.

Pro tip: Make sure to backtrack to some worlds to fight the absent silhouettes before the Roxas fight. Bc those dudes are strong if you are underleveled, especially Larxene and Marluxia

Honestly I feel like the introduction of Critical mode in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix was made as a response to the people who absolutely HATED the vanilla KH2 for being a mindless brainless button masher at least the way I see it

i always appreciated colors for having a short runtime Like i swear every sonic always has to have some type of filler/padding to stretch that game time, but all it does is make a first playthrough poorly paced, and subsequent replays a slog. Also you absolutely have a future in any voicework keep it up!

Correction. Re:Chain of Memories is terrible. Chain of Memories is actually good. Chain of Memories was a charming pixel art game on the GBA while Re:Chain of Memories is the Devil’s work.

Me struggling on Proud Mode:

Here are some tips from someone who has beaten most of Level 1 Critical and is now doing Critical with leveling, I've also beaten KH2 vanilla on Standard and Proud multiple times, plus FM on Standard. In no particular order: 1. Use your magic. Fire, Blizzard, and Thunder are all really good early-game. You won't get them until you get to Sora's parts but they're all really good tools that take out lots of heartless easily. Use the lock on and make sure your shots don't miss though. Later on you'll get spells like reflect and magnet which are very helpful for easy heartless slaying and defense. Time your reflects well. 2. Use your summons. Each summon is gotten throughout the story from different chests. Chicken Little is really good and basically acts as a magnet spell that can stun enemies, never use FPS mode though it sucks. Stitch is a free mp recharge, you can spam magic attacks all you want even cure and basically instantly get it back right away. Genie is kind of confusing but he has different forms similar to drives that all do different attacks which can be broken. Peter Pan is a stunlocker that stuns bosses and lets you jump slash and jump slash and loop them into doing the same thing over and over again. He also heals you if you die. 3. Use your drive forms and level them up. All of the drive forms are good for different things. Valor is good for doing combos and levels up by hitting enemies with a certain amount of attacks. Wisdom is good at magic and has quick run for speeding around. Limit is overpowered and has really good limits. I recommend using Sonic Blade and Ars Arcanum, his limits also heal you. Master Form is really good too and keeps you in the air a lot, use it when you have aerial enemies. Final Form is straight up broken, especially when using firaga to destroy things. The drive meter drains really fast when you use it though. Finally, Anti-Form can actually do a lot of damage but you turn into a glass cannon so be careful and run away if you need to or are low on health. 4. Don't be afraid to quit the game if you're feeling frustrated. Critical is actually really difficult even as a veteran of KH2 since it came out. But that being said don't give up on it. All fights are based on skill, (apart from some bs like light cycle and hot rods). There's not really much rng involved and most things can be won if you learn their patterns. I recommend watching level 1 critical strategies by Bizkit047 if you need help. 5. Have fun and enjoy the game. The hard fights, the easier fights, the fun moments, the silly moments, the sad moments, and especially the music.

I just started another playthrough of Kh2 after beating Kh1 again. You summed it up pretty well. Also if you haven't done the secret bosses... You should. There's 13 more battles like roxas's difficulty wise

2:36 Roxas’s fight… It’s very subtle, but Roxas tries to make you flinch by dashing in, and flexing in front of you before starting his ground combo. For this, people suggest quick run. This can be gained and leveled with wisdom. Using fire magic on weak heartless mobs, in wisdom should do it. If you’re aren’t doing it as you play, there’s a cluster in Mickey’s house in timeless river, by the time you get to Roxas. If you manage to quick run away, at his flinch fake out, he will attack blindly, hitting the air. Before hitting you directly on the finishing blow. In an X pattern. It is even effective mid battle with the light beams. They’ll stop tracking and just miss you as well, trying to corral you for the x strike, If perfectly timed, it’s not only block able, but Roxas will knock himself off balance and fumble, making him vulnerable. Now his desperation move, the floating orbs. You have to circle around the outer perimeter of the arena and run Along the outer edges Roxas’s revenge is a jumping slash, but midway in, randomly, it is swapped out with a keyblade attack where he closes in and spins his weapons at you, I dunno how to avoid that. It’s quick, so some of the damage can be mitigated with reflect.

i feel you i dont really use drive forms cuz they feel like a crutch really i treat any form in any game as a trump card only to be used during difficult battles or when im feeling like putting an enemy in their place despite that i far prefer this to anything similar the series has implemented infact it is my favorite form change system in any game because it punishes over use while still encouraging use and you always choose when to enter it without feeling like you let it waste away

14:26 the destiny island in kh1 was a play island, the scene here is the mainland. Towns houses, government, school, people, etc They went into detail, but it was only spoken of occasionally but it does get shown or explained later. Kh1, child riku talks to child Sora, and is determined to leave Destiny islands with him. “When we grow up, let’s get off of this island” A moment later it’s revealed that it was the day Kairi appeared, residing at the mayor’s house. And as Kairi said, with no memories of her past life. Which also gets explained in future games.

Critical mode is the hardest setting. They toss in a few exclusive mercy skills, (it’s not carry over) then let you loose with 1/2 hp, 1//2 mp, and a stat famine. You can overcome some of it with grinding, hunting, and synthing, but it’s a growing nightmare with no prep. Also… if it’s console, there’s 99 save slots. In kh3, it’s a nightmare out the gate. But it actually does let you carry your key blades over.
