Land Rover pushed the grill forward because they used the long bell housing from the range rover when they fitted the V8 into the 90/110. Why did they not go back to the iconic original design? Also the perfect place to mount a winch without compromising Approach Angle! I want to convert my 110 to a Series 2 grill!

Nice work but yeah, 280 miles for us is a trip to the shops. We just did home to Melbourne return and thats just a little over 2000km.

Not being funny but 280 miles in a series is piss easy 😂 done from porthtowen to Dundee a few times on a camping trip and mine is far from stock, Used to go from Basingstoke to Paignton every other week.

Try driving a series 3 towing a trailer loaded with furniture from macclesfield to toluse macc to portsmouth ferry to caen then straight down to puybgon with a stop for a coffee engine was a perkins 4302 d carried 2 jerry cans as fuel was cheaper there in france than the uk and when i came back filled both cans up before reaching the docks for the ferry back series 3,s are built like a tank fantastic to work on i nicknamed mine the meccano kit on wheels my son wants me to get another i will have to think about ?
