Pleasing God and Trusting God is two different roads. Although it may seem like the same. One focuses chasing works so that God may love you and call you his and the other one is founded on the knowledge that God is love 1 John 4 and loved you enough to die for you so that anyone who believes in Christ now abides in in and with God. It may seem like other people are falling in love with God and your not because it doesn’t feel or look like how you want it to look. But faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things unseen and faith in Christ accomplishes much. Hebrews 11:1. The word says that the Lord shall lose none of which the Father has given him.John 6:39 I believe that Faith is what pleases him. Hebrews 11:6 1 Corinthians 1:18, Titus 3:5, Roman’s 8:1, John 3:16 And that comparing is a tell sign that one is trusting in works rather than trusting that what God did is powerful enough to save the soul. That you already his love in abundance. Not everyone who says Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, only those who do the will of the Father Mathew 7:21 and his WILL is that we believe in Christ and be saved John 6:40. On THE day many people will say 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many deeds of power in your name?' And the Lord will say ‘ Then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; go away from me, you evildoers’ The people who relied on their works to prove to themselves that God favors them never understood that Jesus’s death was God showing the amount of grace he had given to the world, it was grace for sinners who trust in him for the saving of their souls. The cross showed How serious he was about the grace that has entered the world. Every person that relies on works and not God himself is not walking in grace or truth. There are so many people even today that will try to sell you good intentions. In reality your life outwardly will not always reflect the truth which is known by faith alone proverbs 24:16 Ephesians 2:8-9. That those who trust in Christ, even on his name, are saved and loved by God. John 1:12 Any good growth is done within this knowledge. That you already Have favor and peace with God through Christ Romans 5:1 . Not one of guilt but out of an understanding of love and grace. This is what God wants from us. That we trust in him. That trust will allow you to grow in this life. Knowing that he never turns away from you. Knowing you are loved and cared for in this way is like a plant having alll the elements needed to grow, sun, water, wind, etc The way we interpret the cross is important for our walk. It’s hard to trust God when your life isn’t where you want it to be but that’s exactly what he wants from you. For you to trust his promises word still while your in the valley of the shadow of death. When your at your lowest because your walk doesn’t look like what’s shown on social media or by those around you. God doesn’t want mask, he knew who he was dying for. It’s so important that people understand that there’s no pleasing God through the mindset of doing to earn. It is impossible to please him without first knowing that your already saved in Christ, faith , then what you do is out of knowledge of love which is God 1 John 4 is a good work that grows fruit. You can’t grow fruit out of fear and the doubt of not pleasing God enough. For as it was written in the word, there was no one good on this earth, no one that sought God, all was deserving of death Roman’s 3:10. The people saying Lord Lord spent their whole life, casting out demons, prophesying, and doing ‘good’ deeds in the name of the Lord. But the commandment was to believe. Jesus wanted people to believe that he was the Son of God. God accomplishes everything. And he has made a single way for those who cherish life. Your assurance is your faith, not what you do. It’s good to do good things I’m not saying it’s not. I’m saying specifically according to your salvation of the soul. There is one way and that’s by faith Ephesians 2: 8-9 you can never grow if you always having to be reminded of the first fruits which is faith. Out of faith all things are possible because you will literally be in and with God. I’m sorry it’s long but I hope this depends your trust in God and offers you peace. Relying on what we see and feel is deceitful but you can be sure that Faith guided by the word will never fail you. That is where peace is ❤
