Hey these are some great tips about the rope thanks. It's illegal to snip the tail of a crays you're returning? Are you able to show me where it says that? I'm genuinely not aware that is a rule and don't remember reading it in the fishing guide. If I'm doing the wrong thing I definitely want to know about it as I'm all about fish for the future. Yeah 3m is the limit for me …but you are right, low wind makes it more enjoyable and staying in 10-12m should keep you away from the breakers

North of River mate. Whether it's Hillary's. Ocean Reef, Mindarie or Two Rocks, I hear of people doing great out of all these ramps. I think they all fish well.

I meant are you North or South of the two rocks ramp, I normally go north as I get more shelter from the reef, I only have a little boat

Hey. Yeah I mainly start by using Navionics and then head out to the structure and use the sounder to get the real picture. I basically sound around to find where I will need to anchor so that I’m still fishing on the sand. Your boat sounds perfect for fishing out of Hillarys. There’s so much great structure there all in close. Good luck!

@@wazzastinnyfishingI’ve dived that area for many years and have never seen schools of snapper over reef Sand is definitely the go Kiwi’s are ace at catching them, it’s their no1 target species, being one myself Well done

@@michaelhermans4753 oh that must be great to know what it all looks like around there under the water. I have my glass bottomed bucket to have a bit of a look but diving it must be magical. Yeah seems us Kiwis do pretty well with the fishing here off Perth 😅. Thanks for the comment 👍🎣

@@wazzastinnyfishing I was at the tinny fishing stage 20 yrs ago, then took up spearfishing and scuba diving After doing over a 1000 dives I have intimate knowledge of the reefs off Perth and Rottnest I never come home with an empty chilly bin When you can draw from so many amazing spots it gets really easy You should get into it, best thing I’ve done
