Yes they do fight. Blue jays are pretty tough but when the swarms of starlings come through the starlings get the food first! In a way I'm glad because otherwise the jays eat everything leaving nothing for the songbirds and my red squirrels!

That is the blue jay mimckimg an American crow. Lol.i don't know why it's doing that? Funny though. The crows and Jay's are related. They chase hawks away around my house. Never seen my birds fight like yours do. It's interesting.
