The USA bayonet is a m6 bayonet for the M14 rifle. Not the m16 rifle.

Good video. Thank you. Model 36 OR Model 36M?. The Model 36 was declared obsolete in 1932. The 36M-M for Mesopotamia-was the standard from then on. The 36M was specially waterproofed for Mesopotamia, the place where the RAF used up some of their post WWI surplus aircraft. Source is: The Encyclopedia of Infantry Weapons of World War II by Ian V. Hogg. My copy is the U.S. Bison edition, hence the misspelling of Encyclopaedia.

The Propamidine is an antiseptic skin cream, these kits could still be found kicking about in AFVs with 40s dated stock well into the 80s. I think the last time I found one was inside a Ferret armoured car that had gone through an auction in the mid 2000s. You could also find very similar kits in Royal Observer Corp monitoring posts and ROTOR bunkers in abundance, again with 40s and 50s dated components. Pretty cool to find one pretty much complete.

Hello, I am trying to find ANZAC House in relation to the location of 23 Bn 1st AIF at the 3rd Battle of Ypres. The only reference I have is 28.J.3.a.2.4. I a not sure what Map scale it refers to and I think the J reference might be wrong. I cannot seem to find it on any of the 1/10,000 or bigger maps. Can you please advise where I should be looking. Thx.

You shouldn't have filled the spirit lamp with kerosene or gasoline, it only works with liquid alcohol!

Beautiful German WW1 award set - and a perfectly paced video. Thank you. One minor criticism though: this video is filmed in, what I call, ‘mobile phone aspect’! That is, everything seems an awfully long way away from the camera lens. It would have been great if you could have held each item closer to the lens, so that we would have a more detailed, close-up view of each of the awards.

Some nice bits to your collection, the Carlisle pouch is probably American Awning and Tent, there are a few companies with similar names though. I tend to wrap the cardboard boxed bandages in a UV protective film to stop them getting scuffed up through handling. Might be worth looking into.

Nice...took me about 30 years to make a decent m17 grenade....had a somme head for many years then couple years ago there was a small glut of wood handles with metalwork which came onto e bay so I bought one to make a complete example...it worked out cheaper than buying a complete one from a dealer.
