Thanks much 🙏
Nice Taylor guitar. I live not far from the El Cajon factory where the solid wood guitars are now made.
@@stevecumming6427I'll have to let my guitar know that home spotted him out! Thanks 😊
@stevecumming6427 My guitar has an autograph on it from Ed Gerhard that says " For Darry's Baby, stay sweet "
Sending thanks to Germany and thanks for watching
Thanks for sharing this tutorial, Darryl. Greetings from Germany!
Say 99 and kiss me
Thanks for the 99 muah!
Terrific! My friend Dean has been playing with this guy since the 80's. Saw them at the Channel in Boston. Johnny A is tasteful in a way l can only aspire to. Great looping!
I never heard Johnny A before and I love this introduction to his work. His guitar and singing really works. I think Jeff Beck had Rod Stewart sing on this song. Jeff sang with his guitar!
Thanks, Lenny! This is a nice starting point for hearing Johnny, and he does consider his guitar to be his voice right from his beginning he has held true that would be his own thing.
Nice job...Not a fan of loopers tho'. Sad that musicians can't afford each other anymore.
Johnny does maintain a Trio besides his solo shows. It depends on the project for him as to what his rig will be
@@DarrylHillMusician Nice to hear.
I hate painting myself into a corner too
ROCK ON JOHNNY........!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME.
Saw Johnny twice as good as anybody🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤
This is the best F. ING think ever Johnny
Nazareth do a great cover of Morning Dew on their debut album, Long John Baldry too!
Yeh that's a great tune... my band supported Nazereth 20 odd years ago...what a voice
There’s not even a shadow of Jeff here -
That's funny because he wasn't. He was covering the original by Bonnie Dobson.
Caption is tribute to Jeff ,,,
@DarrylHillMusician yeh exactly...with a soupsoné of Jeff to taste num num
we all miss you Jeff Beck....
johnny a rip!johnny winter and jeff beck rip!
Wonderful tone from my fav amps. Tubed blackfaced Fenders. Or...a reasonable facsimile...nice unique Strat. I bought his first CD and played the heck out of it. 1995?
Saw and heard Johnny A play a night at Sierra Nevada Brewery some years ago, at Sierra Nevada Brewery, a GreaT room in Chico, California. He was playing his eponymous Gibson double. cutawaGreat guitar player, great show. I think he had a dye job in those days. Looks great here
Good on Johnny A...keep it going...
I see that she is wearing her fire-proof dress.
Her playing is like a 5 alarm fire 🔥
Nice job my friend.
Great playing!
The new Deluxe is one of the best amps on the Quad Cortex right now. Its honestly incredible. It's also one of the best clean amps too.
@@DwayneCreates I totally agree!
plz upload preset Cortex clouds
Hi bbc_nanm, you can find this preset on TJ Walker user. I don't remember if it was a preset or capture, so check both. I will be adding my newest preset today that has a Martin guitar IR and is my adjustment to the original version
Hi bbc_nanm, I realize now that for you to get the preset you can find it on TJ Walker presets. He has a few on there. Get the one with the Looper and change the IR to either a Gibson J45 or Martin acoustic
John Nathan Cordy is an instructor on Truefire. He is also very active on TH-cam and has many gear reviews, and on Mondays, he goes more instruction on playing.
Got some good ideas there! Dont mind the flamenco snoberooos!
Thanks much for the kind words Tom. I do play often at a Horse Rescue farm and have always been warmly accepted by my animal friends and the cat sits on stage contented not howling like a flamenco singer.
@@DarrylHillMusician An animal lover as well! Me too. Great job lad!
Thank you for a great video Darryl.
@@Mr50damian thank you very much 😊
These are from the neural cloud so these are mainly from other users (not Neural). That’s what’s great about this community of users. Amalgam makes great captures for sale but puts some on the cloud to trip out. Good stuff!!
These were Staff picks and true not Neural. But, figure like this, the Unit gives you all the power to make any sound or capture yourself and, with the cloud community we all work together ❤️
Remarkable!! I haven;t heard him for years. so refreshing to hear him again.
But where and when was this? And what organ: St Giles Cripplegate reprised?
@MarkMLl_uk It was October 25th, 2021 at City Winery NYC. Rick titled the tour as Grumpy Old Rock Star. No grumpiness happened. I went because Rick had mentioned how he captured the Pipe Organs with the Korg Nautilus's of which I also own. He didn't say exactly which Cathedrals but that they were close by his home and he played them often.
I study with Jordan Rudess and Rick sat in on a lesson and talked fondly about the Korg Nautilus. He was excited to have such a great capture and even caught the Cathedrals ambiance. He used high end Audio microphones into the Audio inputs
@@DarrylHillMusician Thanks for that, useful addition to a good video. I smiled at the habitual Wakeman wrist-shaking before really letting go :-)
@@MarkMLl_uk He certainly did put on a great show. His last tour was named his final one. I hope he comes out of retirement 🙏
Makes me remind some kind of Stephen Stills' alternative tunes as well. So nice, Darryl.
@@gustavoortego5838 He had amazing Solo stuff!
Sounds great. I can almost here Colorado song by the Ozark Mountain Daredevils in that tuning *
@Yeehaw019 Thanks, and I will have to check out that tune. I am still working out getting Chords and melody ideas with it
I am curious which Osmose presets he used?
@@predragkalajdzijevic7146 I will ask him. I'm getting one in March
@@DarrylHillMusician Thank you very much.
Hi Jamie, I am glad you can get some good music going too. I am now trying out another tuning based on Jacob Collier's 5 string tuning. I am doing 6, but it's really showing lots of promise
very useful!
The Wizard wows again !
@mheibv-ww2b indeed he does!
I hear a bit of Banks and Wakeman… and Jordan.
Music, the savior of humanity.😀
@frankywatte5646 totally agree
I hear Danielle Rudess added the count off to where Jordan found his Pedal mute
Great like 👍
Hey Darryl. How much time does he spend on discussing his right-hand technique? I don’t have a JTC subscription so I just want to get an idea before I purchase the course 😊
He goes very detailed on his techniques for both hands. I would say this is the best complete breakdown of his music. There's lots of written transcriptions.
@@DarrylHillMusician Thank you Sir much appreciated!
Does Korg Krome EX slso have this feature? Or is it exclussive of Nautilus?
@thephoenixchant They are both unique in their own way. I use a two tier stand in performance and play both together. Going between both, I get smooth transition, too. The Nautilus is the main keyboard that features it. It's best in setlist mode where I can go smoothly from totally different sound engines. You can also be like, say in strings and go seamlessly into any other string sound or other program or combi
Just what I needed to see! I've been looking into this particular banjo. Love to see someone playing it closer to the style I want to play it in! great vid.
Thanks for the kind words hudsonpaul3723. Recording King really captured the Dirty 30's. I have an original Boston Music one too that became wall art due to no trussrod. This has that feature so it should last for generations.
Cheers for sharing! I like how these sustained drone chords sound!!! Cheers again cheers!!!?
Thanks Nick!
Just what I needed😊
Oh yeah!
Did you program the drums yourself or these factory drum arpeggios/patterns?
Thanks for asking. I had to go back and see if it was my own concoction. The Drums were part of the Bass Program that I stated the Program number for and when you bring it into the Sequencer there's a check box to include Drums. I used the Italian Grand piano instead of the piano on the Program. The programs and combinations are packed full of great Drums and everything can be edited to fit your own unique style. There's also many scenes and my favorite now is using the setlist mode and you can seamlessly in live performance change everything in one touch or by way of foot switching or MIDI Control. And if you want to go with your own Drums you can sample or record live Audio into the Nautilus. There's no limit
@@DarrylHillMusician Thank you so much. It sounds great! Would you also get away (sound wise) with playing a sax or trumpet solo with Nautilus preset sounds on this track?
@followyourpassion8378 oh yeah! The solo Horns sound great (there are preset soundlists in a separate manual that describe the settings and edits) there's also horn ensembles that include both woodwind and Brass for backing.
@@DarrylHillMusician That is awesome. Really considering buying a Nautilus. On the off chance, have you ever tried iBassist and Jazz Drummer (both iOS apps) for accompanying you?
Nice! Has a live Jazz club feel to it.
Johnny is a good friend and one of my all time favorite guitar players. Love you buddy!
im exited to jump in some lakes with this
I wish they had paid homage to Jeff Beck whilst he was still alive! Cynthia Allen-McLaglen
