Landing on Grass Field

In this video, I share my first experience with real soft-field takeoffs and landings, something I've always wanted to feel firsthand.
This is monster jam
Absolutely breathtaking capture of the planes! May I have your permission to feature this in my upcoming project? I'll be sure to credit your video with a link. Thank you!
Please do!
@@rvncerr Thanks Bro
glad to see the ole girl back in the air, bet ya Pat feels the same way after all the work the guys in the shop got her 'legal' again. RIP Bad Spot Tim miss ya ole son.
Epppppiccccccc 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This was awesome!!!!! I was an FA on a DC9 back in the day, i wish i was on this now!!
3:14 you can see me in the gray shirt between the two golf carts! This was an amazing time coming out here and seeing the jet take off. Great video! 👍
Anyone know what the jump altitude was?
~13K.
This plane has more duct tape on it than the (real) "Con-Air" 727's they transport federal prisoners in! lol. Awesome jump!!
Cool stuff! May I feature your jump from the DC-9 in one of my next episodes? Of course with a link back to your original video. All the best to you!
You are more than welcome to do so!
@@rvncerr Awesome, thanks!
I can’t believe… But I also can believe the idiots holding their phones vertically to shoot the takeoff from the ground. For God sake, people hold your cameras, horizontally or sideways so it fits your television screen when you upload it.🙄 for God sake is the 21st century people get a clue😢
The post vertical videos as Instagram stories I think...
So everyone has to jump out and fly solo? No 3 ways, 4 ways etc.... ?
Nope. I did solo, but there were also groups.
What days does this aircraft do skydiving? I live is Escondido, which is right up the street from San Diego... I would love to go up and see this.
As I know, they are going to send loads on July 6 and 7. Check with their FB page.
@@rvncerr Thanks.
В А У !!! 🌹❤️💋👍🌹❤️💋👍. Я ИЗ РОССИИ.
Not sure how skydiving alone can cover the cost per hour to fly and maintain aircraft.
That's too dopeeeeeee!!!! 🤙
🔥🔥🔥
Working?
Yup.
@@rvncerr free hands? eq?
I’m in the front row with my helmet on.
Only 10 DC9-21 built for SAS. This is the only survivor. Called hotrod. Fuselage from DC9-15 , engines and wing from DC9-30 so overpowered💥💥
Great thorough video, really enjoyed!
Ouch on the landing… No repeating your early landing!
Never knew this was at Peris. Bro that landing was crazy! Looked super smooth until the face plant PLF.
Hey thanks for the video, got to see my son and friend from a different perspective.
At what altitude did you guys jump from the plane?
~13-14K on this one.
Yea this is pretty cool and going on the bucket list. I've always had this "what if" in my mind and know that I know you can now I must.
AMAZING jump!! Is that a pulse you’re jumping?
Yup, Pulse 210.
weird because they stated on their website this dc9 was out of service
It is in service again after a long time.
great turbine time builder
minute 0:05 That beautiful laugh that infects
What plane is this? Can't figure it out
PAC P-750.
what altitude did you jump ?
14K.
I have a question, now as we know when we go up the temperature decreases, how skydivers doesn’t wear a jacket? Or this wasn’t the height that temperature drops?
It is not a problem in summer (feels like A/C, refreshing). It can be cold in winter and I use thermal underwear in that case. My personal record was -60C at the altitude, also few times it was -45C, but normally no more than -30C (I was born in Siberia, not a big deal for me).
I mean...How cool was that .... jumping out of a dc-9 ! (Only in America)
Absolutely stunning jump! I love how you filmed the jet. I can’t stop watching this.
What a great job that must have been... oh, well it's time to joint the commercial world to make the big bucks. At least you'll have the memories!
Hope all is doing well, what ever your going through you wiil beat it never give up
A bunch of DB Coopers.
Am thinking more like Russians invading Afghanistan lol
Are we landing on the south side of the runway now? And that was some terrible canopy flying.
You have to come up with the idea of making or offering a parachute jump from a DC 9 - that's crazy!
Great video. Looks like the wings are cutting grass at the end of that takeoff roll!
db cooper style
Hot Rod DC-9-20! Only 10 were built and this is the only example still flying. It was designed by Douglas to be used for shorter runways. With the modified rear exit and the short runway performance, this jet is ideal for Skydive Perris!!
I was confused when I saw it because it looked to me like a -10 but then I saw it had slats (which the -10 doesn't have) but didn't look long enough to be a -30. I didn't know they made a -20. Interesting.
@@notafanboy250 The HOT ROD DC-9-21 was made for SAS and was special because of it had amazing short runway capability. At one time in the US one was flown by Allegiant, it's very first aircraft before it became an ultra low cost airline. Another two were also flown in the US by ValuJet.
Probably barely legal with a million hours. In the other video the left thrust reverser deploys before touchdown. Yikes!
is life so cheap that you can afford to take risks like this?
Was it risky?! Nobody told me that... Hell...
It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to.
Is life so cheap you can afford to waste it whining online about what others choose to do with theirs?
Just wondering why you landed way the hell up there?
Congratulations sir. Envious of everything except the late flare. But smart in picking a good landing out. 🙂
Never been a skydiver and never will, but that was cool!
Bro! Personally, if that were my uh, landing, I would’ve said the camera cut off. 😂
I keep it for purpose! Folks love watching shitty landings! 😂
Dude, you out did yourself on that one way! You went off! Definitely should compete in the nationals! Lol. Jk. Looked so fun.
Now that looks to me to be a perfectly good aircraft. 😁
