Welcome back to our channel! In this video, Dr. Puru Dhawan discusses effective strategies to manage constipation in Parkinson’s patients.
Constipation is a common issue for those with Parkinson’s and can significantly impact daily life. If you experience bloating, gas, and abdominal pain, it can make even the best days challenging. Chronic constipation can also lead to stress, depression, and irritability.
Dr. Puru Dhawan explains that addressing constipation is crucial as it affects not only physical health but also mental well-being. He highlights that as people age, their intestines may struggle with movement, causing constipation. For Parkinson’s patients, managing constipation can speed up recovery by improving energy levels, interest in exercise, and overall mood.
The video provides practical medical advice, including using medications for stool flushing and incorporating dietary changes. Dr. Puru Dhawan suggests drinking milk at night and, if necessary, adding castor oil for better lubrication of the intestines. For those who prefer not to use castor oil, almond oil is a suitable alternative due to its additional brain health benefits.
He also emphasizes increasing dietary fiber by consuming more vegetables and fruits and introduces a special remedy involving small harad (haritaki) mixed with castor oil. This combination helps in relieving constipation and improving digestive health.
For diabetes patients, he recommends avoiding sugar-laden harad murabba and sticking with the castor oil formula. Non-diabetics can consider harad murabba as an option.

    मेरे पत्नी उम्र 55 साल चार साल से syndropa 125 mg ले रही हैं, उनका सुबह सुबह उठने/चलने में कमर दर्द रहता है syndropa लेने के एक/डेढ़ घंटे के बाद कमर दर्द कम हो जाता है ,हाथ/पैर कांपते का शिकायत नहीं है लिखने/बोलने में कोई दिक्कत नहीं है कृपया गाइड करे ।
