Lock picking is a hobby I took up in October 2023 and one that I have really enjoyed. When I started, I didn't know there was such a large community that shared this same interest. All these videos are raw, unedited videos of my first time opening these locks, with the exception of only a couple if noted in the video's description. Some may be a little longer than I like but I prefer to show the authenticity of the first open. I'm not particularly savvy at making videos so if you came here for quality, you will likely be disappointed. I just wanted these videos mainly for myself to document these locks but decided to publish them in case others may find some useful tips along the way.

Well that took forever. I'm still getting used to these magnetic locks. I was expecting to see 7 magnetic pins, I was surprised to see 4 sliders. Interesting how this lock works.

This lock has four pin tumblers and four magnetic side pins. The magnetic pins are the main source of difficulty until you get used to the feedback. 0:00 - Picking 15:28 - Open 16:58 - Disassembly 22:26 - Side Pin Drivers 24:11 - Top Pins 26:37 - Magnets 28:40 - Closeup

This lock has great tolerances and is very easy to overset. Precise tension control is needed towards the end. More challenging than I expected. Fun pick though. 0:00 - Picking 9:03 - Open 10:48 - Disassembly 11:47 - Gutting 18:28 - Closeup

This one has 17 pins. The interactive element was somewhat difficult to fully set. Feedback was not great and mostly audio feedback. This lock is somewhat of a pain to gut but drilling or grinding the pin holding the cover on helps a lot. It mostly isolated but not fully. 0:00 - Picking 17:32 - Open 19:30 - Disassembly 22:24 - Right and Bottom Pins 28:09 - Core 28:51 - Top Drivers 32:00 - Close...

Well, not one of my proudest moments. First the pick wasn't the cleanest and took a while and a botched gut on top of that. I'll probably record this lock again and clean it up, but I always like to get my first open on video. Finding the sliders was the toughest part for me. Picking Euro style was also an added challenge. This is the first time I've ever attempted picking Euro style. 0:00 - Pi...

This is a really cool lock from the Czech Republic. It's different from anything I've seen. The Euro side only has pins on one side, I'm assuming this is the interior side. The round format side has 4 pin stacks in all three sides for a total of 12 pins. The round side is not guttable (at least not non-destructively). Really cool luck and fun pick! 0:00 - Picking 6:52 - Open

Here is a 15 pin Lips Octro. The feedback was terrible in this lock. It was filthy when I got it and after I cleaned it up the feedback was a little better. This is a format I'm not familiar with, but it was an easy gut after the dimple in the housing was ground off. The top pins had to be persuaded to set. 0:00 - Picking 14:32 - Open 16:15 - Disassembly 17:15 - Springs 19:46 - Left 22:09 - Top...

Here is a really nice Fuki Tierkey. It's the same as the iNAHO Tierkey only with a third row of pins at the top. These are really fun. This was the first time I stuck a pick in this lock so they're not incredibly hard, just a lot of pins but it has great feedback. One of my favorite locks so far. 0:00 - Picking 10:46 - Open 12:18 - Disassembly 15:15 - Right Side Gut 18:04 - Top Stack Gut 26:35 ...

I recently picked up the Ace padlock. After seeing it was the topic of conversation on a couple forums recently, I wanted to try it out. I decided to grab a couple others that I haven't picked for a while and do some in-hand picking for a change. I still prefer the vice, but this was a fun exercise. 0:00 - Intro 0:35 - Ace Brass Padlock 1:54 - AL1106 3:00 - ABUS 80TI/50

This one's a little different having two pins directly opposite the main stack but they aren't hard to deal with. Here's a really cool Yale Bicentric in a rarer format. It's really cool how this lock functions. The threaded pins are something I haven't seen before. They are not much of a challenge as far as picking goes but, that keyway on the other hand, is brutal. A big thanks to @ArtichokeTwoThousand for the lock and all the hard work that went into these. 0:00 - Intro 2:01 - Picking Begins 13:23 - Open...

Nice pick! I'm working on this lock right now. Mine has 13 pins. Going to steal pins from the other side of the euro and fully pin it after I get it filmed. Great work!
@@Burnetb1 Thanks! That’s a good idea just pinning one yourself. You might be able to dimple the key so it still works (or just pin max lifts). I think you need to get extremely lucky and find one from a heavily mastered system to get one with 14 pins. You’ll get it! It did put up more of a fight than I expected but was a really fun pick.
@@sidepicks I got lucky and the key has a bunch of cuts on it. I think Ill be able to get all 20 pins in there. Still fighting mine. I've gotten it open once, but its being shy.
wow... 🤗 great work
Nice lock ....nice pick....codekey made in Bugaria 😄
Great picking. Love that silver color too.

@@bulkheadtactical Thanks! Yeah, it’s a really fun one and it’s so smooth.

Great job 👏 3 locks picked in a 4 min video. Awesome 👍😎
@@AmericanPicker83 It actually was a fun exercise, I’ve never done anything like that before. I thought I might get accused of being lazy because I didn’t want to make 3 separate videos.
@@sidepicks I enjoyed the 3 in 1.
Nice. Where do I start. First of all what an awesome lock, I haven't seen one like that before. Secondly, nice picking. That was definitely an epic battle. I can't quite believe that it's had 85 views and I'm the only one who left a👍. If you don't mind I'm starting a shout out Sunday series today so let's see if we can get you some more subs mate. @@Nicks-Picks Appreciate the kind words mate. Yeah it’s a cool lock, I lucked out being able to add it to the collection. Thanks for the shout out.😀

So nice lock 🔐 😮🎉
Where did you get that cylinder holder from? Nice video!
Thanks! Holder came from eschlenz at 44delta.com
Cool done ✔️ Interesting lock 🔐 🤔 Thank you for sharing 👍
👌🏻👍🏻
Oh nice - GG I jutg got one of these and the warding is kicking my butt 🤣
Nice. Good luck with it. Be prepared to bend a pick.
great picking, especially with an aluminum pick tip.
Just amazing picking. I am still trying to learn the original.
Thanks! Seems like most people have a love/hate relationship with Medecos. I personally like them. Good luck with yours!

Haha thanks. That was my first attempt at that lock and I wasn't stopping until it opened! ASSA is among my favorite locks. As for distributing some of your locks, I can absolutely assist you in that or tell you where to send them. There's a lot of people over here in the LPU community looking for ASSA locks and challenge locks. I would also really like to discuss an ASSA that I've been looking for and think you may have. Hi 👋🏻 This is very interesting choice of lock. Congrats 👏 I'll be back to watch full video. Now busy 😊 Good luck 👍
excellent job 👍🦾
Thanks, that thing was massive!
@@sidepicks Yes, I know it is a massive feat and heavy as well. I have bought fifteen of those and I only have one left. the key bitting does look pretty tricky, especially with all the lower cuts in the front and the high lift in the back. It's been a long time since I actually picked open mine. It's kind of hard to tell if yours gave you that signature. poor move just before you hit the last pin or two, to get the open. regardless, congratulations!
I have one I need to get picked and do the same. Great picking.
@@LockChuck Thanks! They are very cool locks. I’ve been looking for one for a while. It finally showed up yesterday. Hopefully key will be coming later this week. Good luck with yours.

Yeah, I never tried one until now. I kept hearing how everyone loved them and it made me curious. Definitely a fun pick and just a good looking lock too!
@@sidepicks Indeed! I've got mine pinned up with 6 now. Did yours have the lockwood spools in it? It was hard to tell from the video.
@@thecompguy Yeah, it had the spools.
@@sidepicks Nice!
excellent work, great key bitting and definitely faster than I. it's one of those locks that I gotta prog pin and really get to learn
Nothing wrong with learning by PP. Don’t worry about the time. Consistency > Time in my opinion.
@@sidepicks very few words, it's something I've been meaning to do with several locks that I have not learned as of yet, but been able to get open. progressive pinning is key to help you learn locks even if it's just one particular lock or a set variety of locks like the 1100 or even this type of lock. unfortunately I don't have a lot of time that I focus on picking and I have to go back and go through the white belt to the yellow and orange. then make my way back up through the blue and green. I've got a few purples that I want to learn, I do have red, brown and black level locks that I want to develop scales on. on understand the feedback and what I need to do with those while I'm able to.
That's a very interesting lock! Great job getting the open, congrats! Thanks for sharing that! Just an fyi, something's up with your audio...
Ah wow, that’s annoying. I have others queued to upload, I wonder how many of those have the same issue. I use my phone to record and recently got a new case, I wonder if that might be the issue. Thanks for making me aware.
@sidepicks Not a problem man! I still enjoyed the video! Hopefully it's something simple!
