The neurologist is asking Benjamin to respond to his name, close his eyes, etc. but Benjamin still cannot respond or understand. He remains in a semi-comatose state. It's in the description, but my rescue therapy dog was hit by a car that veered off the road while taking a walk in front of the house. The car took off and left my poor dog with 2 broken front legs and needing operations to be able to walk again.

In February 2024, several students visited Ben from the Comunidad de Niños where we volunteered. We used to teach them and they would always visit our house where we tutored them, played cards, fed them snacks, etc. I'm sure if Ben understands, he was so happy to see them. We reminisced about all the laughs and fun times we had together. It was a real shock seeing Ben for the first time since the accident. He was always so full of life and smiling. It's a gut punch to see him in this state in person and many tears were flowing that day. But we were so grateful for Ben to be able to have special visitors.
