They just don't have a conscience. They don't have emotional empathy. They are just like anyone else, except for those things. But they do learn how to appear normal and fit in with others. Just like the rest of the non psychopath population. But, they do feel more comfortable with lying daily if needed, telling others what suits themselves, pretending to be whatever they think will get them what they want or think they need. They can have jobs, be married with kids, have a house, etc. But they're potentially dangerous because they don't have a conscience. If they have a goal and they are motivated enough to achieve it, they'll do whatever they think it will take. Even murder, if they think they can get away with it. Not saying that most psychopaths do that, because most won't, especially because they don't want to go to prison. But the point is, they're more capable of it. Little remorse. No emotional empathy. No conscience. Imagine how potentially harmful or dangerous that can be in certain situations. So what the psychopath does, really depends on the individual and the goal of the individual. If a person who is a psychopath happens to be sadistic, then imagine how dangerous that person is. If a psychopath wants a regular stable family life, then they'll be fine with it. Unless they don't want their partner or kids anymore. Dont mess with these people. That's my advice.

In my late teens and twenties it was pretty common to know people who fucked over friends/roommates so they could buy more weed. Both drugs make heavy user emotionally stunted too, but alcohol does take a heavier physical toll. Which we’re seeing with women dramatically more likely to be heavy regular drinkers, because they’re less likely to be moms/whatnot these days.
