How do you get the bucket off of the quick tatch is not working? Mine has wires pinched and keeps popping the fuse. I need to get the bucket off to get to them.
You think this is from back dragging mud and rocks?
This is just a bad design by John deere. Excellent skid steers but no grease fittings is ridiculous
Easy enough to drill & tap a couple holes and install grease fittings. Should be that way from the factory. But it's not. No biggie.
Love how Americans wear shirts while grafting but hoodies when going out.
Didn’t like the video because it was sittin at 69 likes, didn’t wanna ruin it great vid 🤙
Thanks for the video, good info, and the comments all help.
There are no oil or grease fixtures nothing on its metal on metal
I do not like this design either. It totally sux. I have people that work for me and they back drag with the bucket standing straight up. Pisses me off all the time. I’ve hade to buy a new face plate at 1600$ and springs wedges and bolts. Nothing is cheap when it comes to John Deere. Ridiculous and they don’t cover crap under a warranty that you think would be. But this quick attachment wedges get in a bind and totally will piss you off. I think their needs to be a totally different design for all Skidsteers this one especially.
That puts a lot of wear and pressure on the faceplate and pins doesn't it?
Hi nice adapter where can I get that?
Awesome space! Only 3 things I see missing... You need a dirty old bridgeport, an engine lathe and a 300amp HTP pro pulse mig machine. Most people aren't familiar with HTP, but once you use one, you'll become a believer. The rest of the world knows them as "Stel".
I see you watch Zila... So you know about HTP. ;-) I've got the an invertig and the pro pulse. Tell Pete, J from Texas said hi!
This could be an awesome restoration. Any update on it?
I use a pocket knife push it in a quarter inch and you fly by with snapping lines
The quick touch on the John Deere is a bad design. The Bobcat one is a lot simpler. Less issues and a lot easier to work on. As for the rest of the machine I guess it’s OK but like I said, the quick Tatch in my opinion is a piece of crap.
Like your truck man thanks for showing me what to put in my truck keep up the good work man
Anyone that see's this Door and window foam, seal all cracks that covers don't cover, it saves small junk from entering, Later yall.
You can’t beat fords 302 ci in the V8 or Strait 6. I went strait 6 302. Or 4.9 liter or 300 6. It’s still same cubes as the V8.
The best solution is to get a cat , it has a direct hydraulic latches that crush small rocks , it rides way way better too. just saying because I rented a 333 and had the exact same problem
I’ve been running a cat 299d2 high flow for almost 3 years and it’s a complete pos.. the pins also constantly get stuck like this
Use an N95 mask I don’t wanna see you get silicosis from silica dust
Duct Tape the openings.
Seems like you believe all the shit they say about fords 🐑🐑
This was more amusing than instructional lol. Nothing like the look of horror on the face of a man that realizes he is a Dodge man.
Your definition of original motor is off a bit. Headers, aluminum heads, intake, carb, cam....
Had the same problem with ours the dealer fixed it about 3 times under warranty n had one pin break. About to have to do it again because it will not detach from the equipment.we had had problems with the mounting bolts on the bottom from the arms to the bucket fixed 2 under warranty last time put new bushing in arms n taper bolts n cost me 2600 to fix n no way to c itor watch it until it breaks. My machine 575 hrs the deere mechanics took me if it stick get a hammer n beat them up.the deere people donot know how to fix.hes right one great machine except those parts N out of warranty u better call the bank
I keep mine oiled and have no problems at all. You could also install a rubber deflector which I seen guys do.
Have you ever changed your pivot tapered pins that connect from your lower boom arms to your quick attach plate?
I just bought 2 c10's, a 68 and a 72. The 68 is is horrible shape...but the 72 is in great shape, no rust. the previous owner bought a short bed conversion kit and I'm not sure if I wanna use it. any thoughts?

Silica dosent cause asbestosis, and it takes years of exposure to silica dust to be a problem
I always run water with mine so no dust and your blade last a lot longer.
@@karolzawislak2064 silicosis similar to asbestos
Good luck we have 5 of them that has the same problem. Plus can’t keep bottom bucket pins tight
Good luck we have 5 of them can’t keep them cleaned out. Plus the bottom bucket pins we’ll break at least one a week
I have a 1971 c10 with the same two tone colors that has been sitting in my back yard since 2007. My dad said he was gonna sell it but I stepped in and basically told him I wanted it even though I’m 16 and don’t have a license or any experience besides coolant top ups. I’ve wanted it since I was a little kid but would have no idea where to start.
thats awesome, im 17 right now and im trading my jet ski and $1500 for a '71 c10 with a 292.
Hope you got it my dad gave me his old truck 1970 c10 396 was sitting since 2006 finally got it running I’m 18 now you’ll learn a lot from working on these trucks
She's a beauty brother, my favorite body style
Eric... this is TH-cam... of all the minor repairs you mentioned... like- cab replacement, suspension upgrade & engine overhaul... if you don’t paint the engine and make it nice and shiny... the TH-cam experts will rip you a new one! Thanx for showing this... I’ve never seen how a cab was connected on one of these.
Hate to say it, but until the TH-cam experts start paying for my build, I don’t give a damn what they say!! Thanks for watching and commenting. The motors gonna be painted because I want it to be
@@e.l.construction5945 Agreed!!! LOL
Nice to see a video from you again. I hope all goes well with the make over of the truck.
Cool! Good video
Great video thanks for sharing.
I have my first truck to many memories. Don't sell it you will regret it
I also have a 67 C-10 with that same two tone color, am I love it too! Restore it!!!
Need a update on this truck. Come on man
Not much goin on it now, but it’s on the list
Keep it an LS swap it
Do you have an update on this truck?
That seems like a thick concrete.. Wow 👏
What 😂
have to mount rubber flap on inside somehow
the rocks and dirt are getting in from bottom so put rubber mud flap with slice in it for tooth should solve problem
i would take off and weld it up to make it sealed unit and fill with oil
that would require some complicated seals
i still do mine by hand and hate it flipping lever
Do you have a John deere? We have hand levers on our 1997 case 1840 and they have grease fittings that still work flawlessly to this day. Sometimes simple is better
wonder if i can adapt electric mechanisem on my loader on my john deere4066r?
great videio
is it for sale
Sure, about anything I have could be for sale!
Time for a 71 project update .. what you decide to do..
I’m looking at purchasing one of theses, I was watching your clip and started brain storming here. Just wondering if there is a way to get it in the unlock position and maybe put a little newspaper in it (wadded up) with some spray foam around it to keep the rocks from getting in it. Don’t know if it will work or not- could be an easy fix. Just put enough paper in there to keep the foam from dropping down on your working parts. Hope it works if you try it
