I have no idea how this singer had a career. She blasphemes every piece of music she sings. She makes it all about herself rather than honoring what the composer wrote. A terrible technique. Sings flat. Forced vibrato.

Ну... не очень, мягко говоря. Даже для концертного исполнения - с прямыми усилителями, микрофонами и проч. Драматизма - ноль, и для голоса ее не подходит. Все как-то слишком монотонно, местами глуховато, местами - резко.. Диана неплохая певица, но такие сложные партии и роли - ей не по плечу.

I was intrigued to watch this. Damrau is an amazing, talented, technically brilliant, classically trained singer. And I adore her. But this song was not written for a singer. So I was interested to see how she would perform it. I was not disappointed.

When the tune was written for Glynis Johns and you gotta pitch it up... Damrau is such a magnificent ACTRESS; even if I don't prefer her interpretive decisions, she never makes an objectively WRONG one
