Check the ssid and password again. Is your WiFi a 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz. Some printers do not yet support 5 GHz.

Hi. Clean all sensors in the paper path of the right cover. Reseat (not replace) all removeable components in the right cover. Transfer roller and fuser unit. If you have one, try replacing the fuser unit. There could be many reasons for the problem.

There are mirrors behind the right-hand cover on the machine side and there are sensors on the door. Clean the mirrors and the sensors.

You can use normal ink cartridges for this process. As the printer has already been used, it is calibrated. It only needs to align the print head after the reset. Some ink will be used.

This can be a difficult problem, but try this first. Turn off the printer and pull the ink cartridges out of the machine. Unplug the power cord and wait a minute. Plug the power cord back in and turn the machine on without the ink cartridges and plug them in when the message appears. Otherwise it may be a defective sensor. You will need to contact HP support directly.

I replaced the HDD because it was defective. Try another USB stick, preferably one that has an LED and lights up when it is recognized, because some are not recognized. I have just tried this to see if my non-HP printer cartridge will work but it did not. I still get the message that this is an older generation cartridge. The irony is that an identical cartridge has been working for the past year so they have done some sort of firmware upgrade to block use of non-HP cartridges.
