She has been in the industry since 2015 2016 and she still has not reached her “full potential“. So when is she going to reach her for potential the album sucked? The album was not good. The album was basic, mediocre boring. The songs were boring and mediocre with this weird nasally voice. It just was not good that’s why it flopped and her fake fans need to realize that. they don’t even believe she is that good. It’s like they’re trying to force her on people and I wish people stop blaming RCA. There are plenty of artists that are on RCA who are doing well. she’s just not because she is just not that girl. Her fake fans and other people need to accept it and stop thinking that everybody who realizes it are haters or bashing her because of her skin color. skin color has absolutely nothing to do with it and she should stop using that as a handicap. there are plenty of dark skin black women out here who are doing very well in the industry. It’s just her. she is just not that girl.

It took Sza 11 years to get her first Number 1 album. Until then, she was writing songs for other artists, releasing EP's, music videos, and other projects. However, unlike Normani, SZA wasn't thrown into the spotlight at such an early age. Normani was just 16 and already and international artist. She was just a baby, and already extremely high expectations were put on her which she already met and far surpassed. Everyone expects her to be the second coming of Beyonce now that she's solo: she's literally been sabotaged numerous times because she's an Omega Level Triple Threats. Regardless of what happens, I will always stan that girl. The music industry has put her through the ringer that's for sure.

Yall do realize she is signed to a label she can’t just drop anything she has to get the labels permission to drop music videos or a project… if she drops without permission, she can get sued… although I do feel like she should talk to her fans and communicate with them someway somehow… an not to mention had to the R&B girls that y’all mention are flopping just like how Normani is, but y’all not gonna make videos about it though…. they flopping just like how she is. The only difference is a little bit more consistent but where is the energy?

Normani seems like she knows she's not it and she can't sing

It has nothing to do with perfectionism per se. Her team and the music industry in general puts 10 times more pressure on dark skin artists to be all that they can be next to Beyonce. Just look at what they did to India Arie they wanted her to straighten her hair! And then look at Kelly Rowland she did a whole article in essence years ago about how challenging it is to come up from under Beyonce as a dark-skinned black female solo artist. It ain't this deep but it's definitely skin deep and that type of pressure rents space in your head which I'm sure that's what's happening to normani which is why dark-skinned black women are the most hyper-sexualized of women in the entertainment industry. Dark skin black women are not considered the commercial standard of beauty. These are just decade-long facts. So they are under immense pressure to please everybody and satisfy everybody.

I expected more due to the very long wait. It's not a bad album but it seems generic. I did not get a good feel of who she is. I rated it a 3 out of 5 due to no visuals.

She is just done. She say ine thing and her actions say another. She doesnt show the hunger to want it that bad. She might be a dancer but i dont see a star.

I'm a fellow mystic rooting for Normani. In listening to her interviews, she stated both her parents were dealing with cancer, changes in management, and she explains why she isn't as active on social media. I'm starting to think people are being willfully obtuse. Compared to her peers/contemporaries, she actually has sold millions of singles, multiple platinum singles despite no album up until recently. Her album does reflect her roots and a more contemporary r&b sound. Would it be nice to do pop? Sure but maybe she doesn't want to be a superstar. She is unfairly criticized in a way her peers aren't many of which technically flopped also but they don't have the same negative press that Normani gets.

I love her wild side and waves and chekclist and motovation are still high on my playlists, now im not speaking for everyone but from my side she made me wait to long also teased for too long and when i feel like im being strung along by an artist i get put off. So on my end you made me wait to long baby girl and im over you now. Sorry still have those songs in my cycle but onky got through 30 seconds of dopamine like one song and i was done.

There is a rumor that she missed the lates Music show awards because of stage fright and she and her team lied about the broken leg. She has had too many mishaps for me to think it’s not stemming from her. Energetically there is some kind of inner sabotage. With the work ethic and talent she has, this type of failure makes no damned sense.

I’m more pissed she dropped the album and did like what? 5 interviews saying the same shit on each one and just lied per usual about music videos etc. all for her to go MIA again with no explanation. She don’t post on ig, interact with her fans, or share anything to keep the media interested in her. Dancing and soft singing will only take her so far..

It’s not over for mani as of yet!!!!!! She’s still to release candy paint the video!!! Don’t forget she’s many appearances to do this summer, into the winter. To shows, don’t forget the tour!!!! The album will definitely pick up numbers!!!! She’s a 🌟
