I'll never forget the day i first played this. I had just broke up a girl i met over the summer and was all bummed out lol, my cousin wanted to cheer me up so he brought this home from work when i was staying at his place for the weekend. He asked me what was out that was supposed to be good, i told him Socom and Onimusha 2 both looked dope! He came back with this and gave it to me. He passed in 06 from cancer and Socom was never the same, and then it just started to suck anyway after the original design was lost while chasing CoD i guess idk... Either way, definitely one of my most nostalgic games. That entire early PS2 and Xbox online era was really special. When Socom 3 came out, i came home from work to find a copy of it in my PS2, and the case on my table... my cousin bought it and left it for me while i was working, we played it for 3 months before he passed away. Hard to believe it's been almost 20 years since this game came out... already.

Why is this in my feed? Don't care... I miss SOCOM. I used to have SOCOM dreams where I would be playing the game... take a shot at a guy in the game only to have no hit... shoot again and again and again... get out of my scope only to see that my gun barrel is buried in the stone in front of me... Soft spots always screwing you over.

maybe it was this game or not but I remember a cut scene or mini movie or something about a seal talking about being a seal was his chosen profession for x number of years and it showed the American flag . I thought that was badass as a kid and made me want to serve .

I got this game a few years ago for ONE Euro at a ReGame, I was thrilled to finally be able to play this game again and just when I got through my third PS2 died... But would always let Vandal breach a room, clear it singlehandedly in hand-to-hand combat and THEN throw the grenade again :)

Can't wait til the ps5 drop so i can play this
