Continuation on 2:31: Warning It's Very Long/A Bit Of Blood/Death: She was diagnosed with stage four bone cancer after one of her previous adventures a few days back. It was a bit hard to describe to Lighter on what cancer was and what effects it could put on a person, but while being a good listener as always... he surprisingly took in with the news, and on how it will affect Mariah for the rest of her short life. She was supposed to live up to the age of 53, but thanks to Jack's daily visitations and him taking proper good care of her throughout the years, she was able to make it through the age of 60. On the day of her death to arrive on her 60th birthday, Jack gave her the best and unforgettable birthday that they knew it may be the last, but it was something that Mariah would've wanted before her last day on Ooo. After the candles were blown, (with more of Jack's help), and a small dance that unfortunately didn't last long enough but Mariah tried her best to give in her all, and a lot of photos to put into Mariah's scrapbook, Mariah have the most perfect and breathtaking birthday that she could've ever wanted the most. When nightfall finally came, Jack then carefully took Mariah to bed before they finally parted their ways for the last time. They both talked about how they had the best day of their lives and that it was fun, entertaining, and full of laughs and magic through all of it. But before Mariah said her final goodbye to Jack, she has her final chat with him: Mariah: "I don't want to leave these lands, but at the same time... I don't want to leave my family either. Jack... you've always been a great friend of mine since I first met you. You were everything what I could've asked for... you were all besides Deedy... that truly meant something to me. You both gave me a life and an adventure to always remember, you both gave me courage and hope throughout these magical lands, you both gave me an even more bigger family that I never thought it show up in front of my own two eyes.... and the greatest thing of them all the most.... despite of everything of what could've happened and already have happened to me.... you were always there by my side. Despite most of my relatives and Deedy not being here with us anymore, you never left my side.... and that.. is what I'm truthfully grateful for... You've done so much for me for the past 46 years, I barely even have time to give you something back in return". Jack-O-Lighter: "(chuckles softly), Oh my sweet and festive Mariah, you showing up in my life; every single day of my life, is all that it matters to me. No matter if you never had the time to make up for it, your presence is the best pay that I could've ever asked for". Mariah then smiled a bit more. Until she started to cough up a bit of blood out of her mouth Mariah: "Jack... I don't have much time to explain everything about what will happen to my body after I'm gone, so i wrote you a note that will be then later on be read to you by the Winter King himself in person... But do me one last favor after I'm gone... please..." Jack was about to cry for the first time at this point, but continued to listen to Mariah's final request Mariah: "If you have enough space in your mansion... please transport all of my belongings over there... that way none of them will be gone to waist. Will you do that... for...me...?" Jack then nodded yes, and couldn't hold back his tears any longer. As he knew that Mariah's time was already up. And by the time after Mariah gave in her last thanks and goodbye, she was gone Jack's wailing cries can be heard from miles and miles around the lands of Ooo, it was loud enough to be heard at the edge of the border, to the edge of the winter kingdom. The wails were finally eased down before the military finally showed up at the cabine to collect Mariah's remains. Jack was hesitant at first, but then quickly remembered what Mariah said before she made her final request to him, and soon later on surrendered her body to them; but only if he were the one to carry the body to their vehicle. One of the soldiers pointed their gun at him first, but thankfully the general understood where Jack was leading to, and allowed him to carry Mariah's body to their vehicle. After her body was placed in, the general then asked if he wanted to attend the funeral. Jack was caught off guard at this, but also wanted to make sure if the general was going to be the one to escort him to the human civilization world. The general gives his honest answer to him, and that the Winter King will also have to attend there as well since he'll also be the one to escort him back to his Pumpkin Fields once it's over. Jack didn't like the idea, but then later on knew that it would have to be for the better either way. On the day of the funeral went as smoothly as it was intended, no one ever even bothered to have the slightest thought of criticizing Jack or judging him harshly by his appearance. And out of all of the people that were meant to carry the cascute, Jack was the one to carry it all the way to the cemetery. After the burial was set and done, along with everyone's final goodbys, a small celebration was then hosted by Mariah's younger brother. He then gave out a toast to Mariah, and then everyone went into their homes for the night. Jack was then about to find the Winter King to let him know that he's ready to leave, until Mariah's youngest nephew George walked up to him to say hello. The small little boy caught his surprise without any warning to it, then George then asked if he could tell his stories on when Mariah was young and healthy, and his experience with his aunt Mariah. Not sure on what to do and George's parents saying their farewell to the guests, he might as well spend some time with one of Mariah's family members for the first time, even though it will be the last of it. Several minutes have past and Winter King finally decided to go and find Jack to bring him back home, but what he never suspect is that both the general and George's parents are both watching and listening to Jack telling his small adventures with Mariah to George, sharing and giving every single detail of what they did together before the cancer overtook her. All of Mariah's family were watching from behind the wall, looking as if they were touched by Mariah's life and bravery in her time in the lands of Ooo. And soon after it was finally time for them to part their ways, Mariah's family wanted to know if Jack would like to have visitation rights with them. Which it was something the president will have to discuss about it, but will try to see if Jack is well suited to have visitation rights with the Sun family. -
