Origami for Jesus
United Kingdom
My name is Barbara Furmanowicz. I created this channel to complete my Christmas origami book with tutorials for each model. All tutorial you can find on the playlist "Betlejemka Origami". The book was published in 2018 in Poland as "Opowieść bożonarodzeniowa z szopką betlejemską origami" and it is combination of 50 pages of Christmas story and 150 pages of origami diagrams. The models are characters of the Christmast story: animals, angels, humans but also pieces of nature like mountains, palm trees, stones. The collection contains also complete set of origami decoration for Christmas Tree.
My book has its own Facebook page: Betlejemka Origami: Opowiesc.Bozonarodzeniowa.Z.Origami
After while I started to add other origami tutorials that are not related to the book, for example for Easter.
If you like my ideas and want to help me to promote my designs, please subscribe my channel.

Origami Sitting Dwarf by Barbara Furmanowicz
This Dwarft can sit on the edge of the book shelf, monitor or a television set. Try to find a balance by playing around with the bends in the hips and knees of the Dwarf. To protect them from blowing away, you can put a bit of blue tag uder the Sitting Dwarf and stick it to the surface. With a few more folds you can change a sitting dwarf to a standing up dwarf. The methode you can find at the ...
Origami Hen by Barbara Furmanowicz

Any squared paper, doble or single sided. It looks good when both sides have the same colour. This model has been created from my "locked heart". So instead of asking: "What came first, the chicken or the egg?", you can ask, "What was first, the chicken or the heart". The answer is: the heart, th-cam.com/video/b6Ez0yxK6yE/w-d-xo.html.
"I-love-you!-Cheer-up!" hat... and a bookmark (The Heart hat and the Hear Bookmark)
For a hat for a small teddy bear (like on the video) standard one-sided origami paper of 15 cm (6 in) square. For a book mark - a quarter of in (7.5 cm x 7.5 cm = 3 in x 3 in). For a hat for a human: paper between 43 cm (17 in) for a small head and 46 cm (18 in) for a big head. You can also regulate the fitting by folding the final top triangle higher or lower.
Locked heart
On the video I used a square of 15 cm paper. On one side it has to be red, or your preferable colour, on oposide side - it doesn't matter. For the bookmark I used a quarter of this paper, 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm (3 in x 3 in).

This Palm Tree is made of 2 sheets of single sided origami paper 15×15 cm (6 x 6 in). The 'leaf' part is cut into half, 7.5 x 15 cm. It means you can make 2 palm leaves from one origami paper. What this Palm Tree has in common with a Camel? A lot! If you already folded "Two Camels", you will know the answer, if not, try to fold it: th-cam.com/video/Sjr5xr2bQtg/w-d-xo.html.

For a Wise Man made of 15 cm (6 in) squared paper I recommend a square of 20 cm (8 in). I also recommend paper of a same colour from both sides. On the video I used the most popular paper, 2 sided, 15 cm (6in).
Origami Magic Hat
Size of paper: any rectangular, it can be A4 format or Letter format or any rectangular that is not a square anymore but doesn't reach 1:2 proportion yet. To make this magic hat for a human I used a rectangular with the shorter edge of between 53-56 cm (21-22 in). For bigger heads try even longer edge. This incredible design I found on "Origami Heaven" Facebook group by Dave Mitchell. He wrote ...
Magi's Hat from Magic Hat
If the Magi is made of 15 cm (6 in) squared paper, then his hat is made of quarter of it, which is 7,5 cm (3 in) squared paper to start from. The hat paper is cut into the rectangular. If the hat you made was too small, please cut smaller edge from the square, less paper you remove, bigger hut it will make.
Guardian Angel 2:1_Origami Nativity 2023
This Angel is a variation of the Guardian Angel made of two sheets of paper. Guardian Angel 2:1 is made of one rectangular paper of proportion 2:1. I used a craft A4 paper to start from. At the same way you can cut a 2:1 paper from a letter size.
The Grotto_Origami Nativity 2023 by Barbara Furmanowicz
Size of paper is 20cm x 20 cm if the 'humans' are made of 15 cm squares. For this video I used smaller size for a practical reason. 20 x 40 cm you can also achieve by sellotaping two sheets of A4 and then following the tutorial. Otherwise cut the brown paper to the required size.
Two Camels for Andrew_Origami Nativity by Barbara Furmanowicz

This are two camels that vary with their necks. The first one is finished with outside reverse fold, the second with inside reverse fold. 'The second one has the extra lock fold inside if the body will not hold well the neck or if you wish to change its angle. My family had an argument which version they prefer so I put both. Paper size for this fold is 15 x 15 cm (6in) but in Nativity 2023 for...

Dear @bbharat307, thank you for such ambitious request, but I am affraid it is beyond my creative abilities. I hope you will find an origami creator, that can do it. All the best!
can you please make origami of Martin Luther, the reformer. Thanks.
Qué chulo
Thank you!
Lindo modelo.
Thank you very much for your very interesting comment. I tried to do so, but I am not sure if I understood well. Maybe the google translator is not that great. Did you meant the fold on the left and right side? If you can send a picture of this I would appreciate it very much. Thank you again! :-)
I also made a version with sink fold in the top, and a lock inside it. It looks better, but it is more difficult for the public.

Congratulations! Thank you for folding my model. Have you try the same angel made of two pieces of squared paper? th-cam.com/video/Qx0ehOOvk2A/w-d-xo.html
Gracias
why did we turn the existing squares into smaller squares?
Very good question! This model was created as a part of origami Nativity. To fit the proportions with other characters we had to reduce the size. I made a comment about it in the descripion: "If you fold this donkey for my Nativity you will need 3 pieces of same paper of size 9 cm x 9 cm each. It this model is independent, just use standard size origami paper of 15 x 15 cm." All the bet Agent Chicken and thank you for your interest and your comment!
Thank you very much for your comment. It seems to be a bit difficult model, but it is a good exercise to practice "squash fold" and "pleat fold" in advance way of folding it. For many years I used to fold them in a very different way, with pre-creases but they are not so perfect. Thank you for watching my videos! xx
origamiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii no kirigami, espeifica igual gracias
Thank you for your note, you are right. I don't want to change the name now, but I will remember from now on. Anything with cutting - kirigami. Anyway. I made a similar donkey, that is a real origami, without cuts and I am going to put it on line soon. Thank you for your comment again.
Awesome hen! 🙂
Oweee, thank you!
How beautiful I really liked it
You are very kind, thank you!
Excellent, stands up a lot easier than the other two.
Thank you, Andrew. That is a good news, because it means this Palm Tree is easier to make than others, which was my aim. Other two palms should also stand well, if their trunks are made as very equal isosceles triangles. But those trunks were made 'by eye'. Only with this Palm I found an 'indication crease' that would help to achieve it easier. But your comment just has helped me to correct my diagram for the next publishing. Thank you a lot!
Nice, now i see the similarity with my camels. will try this tomorrow.
Hope you enjoy
Love these, perfect addition to my other camels.
Thank you very much for making it! Did you manage to do the advanced version shown at the end. Is the video clear enough?
Very nice, How many more are coming? next year i'll have an army of wise men. My friend at church loves all these different hats.
🤣 You really made me laugh, @ar4498!!! I didn't plan this hat, but then I discovered this design on "Origami Heaven" a few days ago and I realized it is genious. For this reason I decided to make it for the Magi, that came late to the manger ;-)
