I'm betting on damaged brush(es) and/or commutator or a burnt motor. Usually, the model/reference of the motor (power and size) is written on its side. You can google it to find a replacement part.

My detector works only on my laptop when is on or on electrical things like charger etc. but on metals it doesnt work.. Where I have a mistake?
There might be a potentiometer under the rubber grip that's causing the fault. If you're comfortable, try carefully adjusting it and see if the issue changes.
