I think the design is flawed then. I mean it is cheap, but I didn’t find it that effective. Especially if you are working on old cars and machines in hard to reach places, or bolts tightened against flat surfaces.

@@ToolWallpro .. it appears to be the finest Chinesium true enough, but none of them cut all the way through that i've ever used .. even the high dollar ones, you take a hammer & chisel & knock it Counter Clockwise, or whatever direction Loose is & the halves Pop Off .. 🧰👨‍🔧

I’m pretty sure it will. Depending on the depth. Have not tried gypsum, though.

I’m pretty sure copper isn’t ferromagnetic, so my logic says it won’t detect it under metal search. But it will detect it under the normal detection mode. Especially if it the pipe is running water in it. I would recommend checking out the company’s materials online to search for it.

I think the device is only semi-useful. I didn’t find it that efficient. My guess is that it needs to stay as cheap as possible.

Not so sure I completely understand what type of wire you are referring to. But I can tell you it’s pretty handy. Though, I have to say that it’s not a great 220V copper stripper.

If you mean the out PVC ARMOR insulation wrapping three insulted copper wires (shown in the video) - then it isn't the ideal for it.

To be honest, I can’t tell. I haven’t tried them.

@@ToolWallpro Sorry, maybe I have formulated my question incorrectly. With "best one", I meant that one with most features. Inbetween I found out, that the X5 is in the middle...there is a X6 model with some more features.

Well said! I think you hit the nail on the head. The thing is there’s a difference between a knife and a utility blade. It’s hard to get a great all-in-one right. What I discovered after trying out different utility blades for a few months is that the most important thing (for me) was how easy it was to open and close it. That’s where the Fastback shines and some other brands are behind.

Granted, it took me a while to work out exactly how to operate it. You need to have very dry hands; not touch the wall; recalibrate every scan and move rather slowly. And even then - you need patience.

@@haziqsofian The device detects minute changes in the magnetic field around the wall. Your hands are conductors and might ground the wall creating a magnetic field of their own. It's like using a compass with a magnet in your pocket.

I think you're right. However, the design is such that it prevents from splitting any nuts flush to any surface (which is why I had to turn the nut around). Thanks for your comment, that means a lot.
