      I think the design is flawed then. I mean it is cheap, but I didn’t find it that effective. Especially if you are working on old cars and machines in hard to reach places, or bolts tightened against flat surfaces.

    • @LeeLaster
      @LeeLaster หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m pretty sure copper isn’t ferromagnetic, so my logic says it won’t detect it under metal search. But it will detect it under the normal detection mode. Especially if it the pipe is running water in it. I would recommend checking out the company’s materials online to search for it.

    Thanks for sharing your test of this tool. In some cases the nut will distort enough to break the rust even if it isn't split completely. And it would be a good idea to put anti-seize compound, or some high pressure lube, on the tool threads to ease operation and protect the threads...particularly with the less expensive tools.

    if the Stanley had the new function from Fastback, the screwdriver bit holder, and the pocket clip, in would be the best option on the market... but without it, sadly, still we need to carry more tools instead of one with more functions... I have one Leatherman wave and yeah i can consider it is almost complete but i feel the need every time to carry also a cutter, especially when i need to give to another person to cut something and as we know, some people just don't care and that's why i have the cutter :))))... Now i own also a fastback 5in1, the new one with bits and i can say, it is very very practical...This type of blade can be easely reshapen on a fine Falkiven 1000 pocket stone and can provide a good cutting edge for a very long time, not the best but god..Also it has one place for extra blade so, you can keep one for fine cutting, leather, paper, and one for all the heavy work ...All the best sir!

    • @ToolWallpro
      @ToolWallpro 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well said! I think you hit the nail on the head. The thing is there’s a difference between a knife and a utility blade. It’s hard to get a great all-in-one right. What I discovered after trying out different utility blades for a few months is that the most important thing (for me) was how easy it was to open and close it. That’s where the Fastback shines and some other brands are behind.

      Granted, it took me a while to work out exactly how to operate it. You need to have very dry hands; not touch the wall; recalibrate every scan and move rather slowly. And even then - you need patience.

    • @haziqsofian

      @@ToolWallproWhy you cannot touch the wall while operating this device?

    • @ToolWallpro
      @ToolWallpro หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@haziqsofian The device detects minute changes in the magnetic field around the wall. Your hands are conductors and might ground the wall creating a magnetic field of their own. It's like using a compass with a magnet in your pocket.
