This video is to show the stock trailer tongue extension on a water ballast Catalina 250
Dodger looks great! Do you mind sharing where did you get that extra support to the aft?
Do you have a video of stepping the mast?
Sorry, not at this time.
How did you fashion that extension tongue please?
It was factory installed.
What type of toilet is that please?

Looks great! Love the mods!!!
Great video. Much more elegant than my splash😂😂😂
Nice way to retire.
I really like that mini dodger, it looks good. For a boat that size I was impressed with having a head with it's own door. The boat looks great, good job.
We've got a ram 1500 with 5.7l hemi engine, and it doesn't have 4x4...would I be stupid to buy a trailerable boat?
I have only once put my 4x4 into 4 wheel drive and that is because the ramp was not really deep enough and I had to put the rear wheels into the water. I think you in general would be ok, especially if you keep your drive wheels out of the water. There are plenty of trailerable sailboats that do not have the fixed keel so they will be easier to launch/retrieve. That's my two cents.
keep the videos coming.
Nice day on the water! I'd love to see vid/pix of how you have your bimini installed and how it deploys.
This video at 0:12 - 0:16 may show you what you want to see. th-cam.com/video/6GEBzZbMmEA/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for the tour. Lots of good ideas to try on our C-250.
Nice work on that pop top cover!
Nicely done, making it look easy. I'm on a steep launch ramp and don't need the tongue extension. Glad to see how that is done.
nice 👍🏼
I'm thinking of purchasing the same boat. Looking to launch at the beginning of the season and retrieve at the end, is it pretty reasonable? Also looking a getting a bigger truck, 3/4 or 1 ton? Thanks for any info.
I am sorry that I am a year into providing a response. I posted this video as a response to a question on the Catalina 25, 250 Capri 25 forum and only now looked back at this to get a link for another response on the forum. I recommend you take a look at that forum, there is a wealth of information there. In my opinion, it is quite straightforward to ramp launch and retrieve the Catalina 250wk. I have done this hundreds of times and have taken my boat on many trips, towing several hundred miles to our destination. I tow with a 2016 F-150 XLT, Super Crew cab, long bed, 5.0 liter V-8. I have absolutely no problems towing this boat. I comfortably cruise down the highway at the speed limit (70 mph).
@@davidcrosby2173any chance you could share how you rigged up that trailer extension? I’m getting ready to launch and need to fabricate something along those lines. Thx
@@jimwarren8301 the trailer is through catalina and the extension is standard when you buy the trailer. I have the same boat and trailer 2008 year model. just bought it. Al
Hi, we are looking at a Catalina 250wb, what is the combine boat and trailer weight? Thanks

@@robertbernieri6957 The 250wb we were looking at was sold. I did pick up a Catalina 25 for a $1000. When the price and time is right, I will upgrade.
