    I have been requested to get the dtap vaccine. I'm 59 years old. I had all the required vaccinations as a child. The family wants me to also get the flu vaccine? My immune system is stellar! I haven't had the flu in 10 years, not a cold, not Covid, nothing! I've been around others that had Covid, the flu & colds. I still didn't get anything. On top of the fact that I have lupus! I'm a firm believer that if it's not broken, don't fix it! A friend of mine, four years in a row, had the flu vax. She then came down with the flu four years in a row. She finally stopped getting it! She's in her 70s. Guess what? She stopped getting the annual flu! I really don't want to do this. With the exception of Lupus, I feel fine. I don't want to run the risk of causing something else at my age, then having some kind of permanent reaction! I have RA, hypothyroidism, Lupus, Sjogrens, and epstien barr! Am I wrong for not wanting to possibly disrupt what's not broken? Thank you!

    I wonder if this person regrets the vaccine advice considering what we know now about the spike protein.

    I was curious to know if a physical injury can play a factor in triggering Lupus.

      Hi Kyle- I will forward your question to Dr. Bush and let you know! Thank you

    • @lupusfoundationofnorthernc2678
      @lupusfoundationofnorthernc2678 ปีที่แล้ว

      The answer isn't quite straight forward. I think anything that causes damage to your cells like sunburns and illness can potentially cause a flare. Physical injury could be one of the triggers of a lupus flare but it alone most likely would not cause flare. We do recommend exercise as that is helpful but if you exercise too much and cause injury that is not good.

    😀 hi fellow lupus warriors, I've found a great way to reduce the inflammation produced during a flare. This method has helped me reduce my temperature by 0.7°F in 15 minutes. Despite whatever is told by medical science autoimmunity is preventable and you can improve your condition too. I know how debilitating and mentally exhausting this disease is, we're caught in a vicious cycle of flares and pain leading to stress and vice versa. Please understand that autoimmunity is a psycho-somatic condition. More often than not prolonged depressive state produces it. During a flare you are tense and anxious anyway- I know what I write now will seem incredible to some people, but it has given my tangible results. Please 'thank' the universe for giving you lupus, yes the pain and anger of it too. Unfortunately, you needed a disease to start listening to your body. When you'd accumulated too much spiritual garbage from the world making you feel constantly incomplete and unworthy, the anger-resentment-jealousy-fear matrix on which the world thrives manifested as a dis-ease within you. Kindly listen to Louise Hay and graduate to other guided meditations. Do realize that physical manifestation of any anomaly in body is the last stage of inner turmoil finally making itself 'real'. We are so attuned to the cacophony of the world that we do not heal our wounds and this buried pain and repression produces disease. Even one's fighting and carrying capacity what medical science broadly understands as 'immunity' is greatly influenced by psychological states. Now for the method, I've tried a lot of 'cleansing' and 'surrendering to universe' plan meditations. As you release the negativity and find peace in the moment- your body responds and feels 'happy'- this reduces greatly reduces chronic inflammation. Slowly i moved on to hopononpono prayer and other healing methodologies. Not only has it made me believe but my recovery has been faster. I'm not a doctor and only a patient, before anyone starts judging do remember that if it is not for you kindly move on but let a fellow sufferer take in believing that she has indeed helped someone in distress. Another thing that I found to be helpful was drinking the water in which Fenugreek seeds are soaked for about 8 hrs helped reduce the effects of steroids (Prednisolone). May the light and peace be with us all 🙏

    I am 75 years old, had Bells Palsy many years ago. I understand there have been some unusual cases of it as a result of each vaccine. Would u encourage me to get it? It was suspected as a result of Lymes Disease. However my brother did have it as well. I did have a mild case of the virus.
