In the UK, geezer tends to just mean bloke/guy/man. In the US it predominantly means old man. In the UK, any age can be called a geezer, it can be seen as a term of endearment, or a compliment. I like the word, I use the word.

No-one with any sense uses the city centre anymore. It used to be a good place, but the druggies and vandals (and I include the council there) have ruined it. My brother and his wife haven't been shopping there for many years, and they are local.
