I drive a 94.5 f350 with a 7.3 powerstroke. I love that smokey diesel and smell every morning. Like a haze rising up from under my truck. The clackety clack of that cold engine trying to come alive. So much nicer than those new super quiet super smooth diesels.

Most of the scenery footage of New Mexico looks a hell of a lot like Texas in this video. Makes sense obviously, considering they are neighbors. Same heat, different roads. Although, it appears from your travels the powers that be who run the state of New Mexico seem to waste much more time on trains, road closures, construction, etc. than other states. However, there were a few areas you passed by on the road that kinda looked like Utah. Beautiful!

As I’ve heard from others who also wandered about in a rather short period of time who ventured off on the Toketee, Fall Creek, and Wolf Creek Falls. I enjoyed the Firefly reference at the end of this episode. However, I don’t believe the Union of Allied Planets appreciates you mentioning the Hands of Blue!

Well, first off as this video was released on November 2nd, I will applaud your decision to include Helloween during some of the driving parts. Always a good choice! Secondly, yes of course I watched the entire video and I will prove it in my comments.. Which leads me to my third observation. During the concert footage you’ve included, I counted eleven songs, ten of which I recognized. “This one goes to eleven,” sorry different band. Let’s stay on topic here.. Now I’ll state them by album, and not in order of appearance. Whiplash Fight Fire With Fire Ride The Lightning For Whom The Bell Tolls Welcome Home, Sanatorium Orion One Enter Sandman The Unforgiven Wherever I May Roam and finally some tune off of 72 Seasons album. It’s ironic if you would have played Jethro Tull had you have them on your computer because they beat, or should I say won over Metallica in the Heavy Metal category some 35 years ago on the Grammys. It’s also ironic that you would play Megadeth during the driving segment of this video especially considering the history between the two bands during their salad days. Although, I didn’t hear any Megadeth but I did hear Wasp, Maiden, Fleetwood Mac, America, and G ‘n R’s Lies which you played the best song on that album, One In A Million. It was also good to hear the Moody Blues, another band I haven’t heard in quite some time. I enjoyed strolling down memory lane with your story about the riot at the LA Colosseum and the utter chaos Metallica inadvertently caused coming on second out of five at the Monsters Of Rock tour in the summer of ‘88. Probably because they were still relatively unknown to the masses or mainstream audience. I remember it being horribly hot that day. Nice kitty cat appearance. And I laughed my ass off with your comment regarding the Select driver’s speed and lane change. I won’t repeat it, tho I will end this text by concluding your showcasing the lyrics to Whiplash at the tail end of this episode.. “adrenaline starts to flow, your thrashing all around, acting like a maniac.. One of the most convincing endorsements I’ve ever seen to NOT drive through California. I do however, agree with your assessment regarding the true beauty of its natural appearance. There are a great many things to do in the Golden State as long as you have the money to spend. Although living here in California is financially unsustainable if you’re not a white collar wearing professional.

So I’ve driven by the, I believe it’s called Seven Feathers Casino, on my way up to your parents house. Or perhaps maybe it’s called the Four Feathers? Honestly I can’t remember and it really doesn’t matter anyhow, tho I know it’s relatively local. However, I’m unfamiliar with the Wild Horse Casino. You mentioned it being 200 miles or so away from Portland. I’m assuming south of Portland otherwise you’d be in the middle of Washington state somewhere. Is the Wild Horse in or near Eugene? Just curious if your folks visit there also.
