Manang is a stunning Himalayan region in Nepal, known for its breathtaking mountain views, Tibetan-influenced culture, and adventurous trekking routes. Located along the Annapurna Circuit, it sits at an altitude of around 3,500 meters. Manang is famous for its dramatic landscapes, including snow-capped peaks, glacial lakes, and ancient monasteries. Trekkers often acclimatize here before crossing the Thorong La Pass (5,416m). The region is also known for yak farming, apple orchards, and unique traditions shaped by its remote mountain setting.
Gangapurna Lake is a stunning glacial lake in Manang, Nepal, formed by the melting ice of the Gangapurna Glacier. It sits at an altitude of around 3,540 meters and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks, including Annapurna III and Gangapurna. The lake’s turquoise waters and serene atmosphere make it a popular stop for trekkers on the Annapurna Circuit. Its ever-changing colors, influenced by glacial sediments and sunlight, add to its mystical beauty.
