Audio Archaeology: The Curious Case of Creative Technology
มุมมอง 7643 ปีที่แล้ว
In today's Audio Archaeology, Ash takes you through the very revolutionary, mildly insane trajectory of Singapore's Creative Technology. Involving ancient Vocaloids, Chinese speaking computers, and suing steve jobs and walking away with 100 million in settlement money. It's something of a rabbit hole and we're ready to go deeper. Old school dry batteries would be nice. 2AA. Removable and replaceable. Alkaline/NiMH, Lithium even rechargeable it's your choice. Ship a 2AA equivalent battery 🔋 pack (also removable and rechargeable) with the high end DAP/DAR.
Full Size SD EXPRESS Card Slots or CFexpress Type-B or Type-C Card Slots would also be nice. Dual Card Slots. 1tb or more of internal storage memory. Music memory cards pre-loaded with pre-recorded music like a tiny, flash memory version of a Blu-Ray Audio Disc. That would be nice.
Great TH-cam Channel. Thanks.
There are smartphones but high end DAPS can survive. They just need to do more. Smaller and less bulky. DAB/DAB+ Radio. Onboard speakers and microphones. Analogue and digital inputs for recording. Analogue and digital outputs. Astell And Kern Of South Korea Meets Zoom Audio Of Japan.
Which IEMs do you recommend for V shape sound signature? Thanks.
I need my Sennheiser lE200 to not have the treble so extended, how would this dongle help me, would it darken the signature a bit or would the treble not be so extended?
Learned a lot about Creative so, thank you. The piano keyboard looks nice
thankyou for the video. i liked the part where she said "lets talk about the audio quality" while rolling her eyes. yes. "The audio is 3 layers making sure your music doesn't sound slow". wow ok! And i liked the conclusion. "Overall its neutral". Interesting. I liked that she was reading a script written by someone else, saying words she would never use and looked like she would never use the device herself.
Well explained !
I’m not sure but the b3 sounds mid to me…I’ve using with the btr15 and Fiio k9
I subbed!
Thanks for having a TH-cam Channel. The Lotoo Paw 1 256gb continues to prove elusive "my side". I do feel Lotoo of China show real promise in the niche portable DAP/DAR hybrid market. If their next move is the right one they are on the cusp of greatness. They might even become a household name. Please continue to keep us informed about recorders coming out of the Far East and not just Lotoo.
Ima buy e3000 or are there any other recommendations?👀
I had previously noticed how similar some Lotoo Portable Audio Recorders were to Nagra Products. I also knew that Lotoo was part of the Infomedia Group. Today Google Research confirmed that Lotoo of China do indeed make Audio Recorders for Nagra of Switzerland. Is there any chance that the tiny Lotoo Paw 1 Portable Audio Recorder is being sold in Europe (including the United Kingdom) as a Nagra branded product? If so, does anyone know the full model name, price and any re-sellers?
come back to youtube
Please can you tell me about isolation and comfort i search something less isolation more airy breath iem with no sound pressure and driver flex and less sound from my body and better for talking with people and be aware of sorrunding awareness?
I was given the Truthear Zero Red for Father's day, they have a huge nozel? Is that a 7mm size, none of the ones I have with any of the other iEM's fit. Recommended, just searched Amazon and only saw a spin fit 155 that looks like it might fit, maybe?
Ok, stem size, I'm not seeing anything listed as that
The CP155 will fit the Zero Red perfectly. That's what I use on mine.
*78* 👍
This recorder is a little older than one thinks. Digital flash memory DAP/DARS are on the cusp of a real breakthrough...
Many of the games I used to play as a teenager supported the Sound Blaster cards, I think my father's PC had a genuine Sound Blaster 16 in it, I could be wrong though.
I had a Creative Zen Touch music player in around 2005, not a bad player, I quite liked it, it lasted quite a few years. I eventually passed it onto my sister. Sadly I never used a genuine Sound Blaster cards, I remember them, but our old PC had a Sound Blaster compatible card made by Expermedia I think.
i found this unknown video because i tried to find the history of a supposedly reputable company, only because i wanted to complain about the trash sxfi products i bought from it. i wonder.
My everyday carry is krypton 5 or massdrop x empire ears zeus. The zeus might be a far superior iem to 5x5 and cheaper especially used around $450 usd.
you're hillarious brother lol. Im into tubeless sounding IEMs and want to get one asap. Narrowed things down to 64Audio U4s, FIR Audio VXV and Symphonium Audio "Meteor". i want to stay under $900 with this tech. I already have other IEM + Tube designs and i now know i prefer the tubeless route design since it's the most naturalfeel to our ears and sound is amazing. BGVP DMG (Not my cup of tea but showed me the beauty of the tubeless design route) helped me realize this is what i want vs IEMs like TheiAudio Monarch and many more that i currently own. Any advice would help. 64 Audio U4s and Meteor graphs look close.
i need help to pick from Moondrop River 2 or Lotoo Paw S2 for my moondrop variations..... 1. #Project Perfection TV please reply
Thanks Asher for this great video! iriver have an intriguingly innovative history, I have a couple of players in my collection and they're lovely. I'm looking forward to you one day covering the history of the digital Walkman players which are still being made by Sony today. That and iriver are key parts of DAP history without counting iPod.
Self noise seems to be quite noticeable (especially in the parts of the video without background music masking it) and unpleasant for a device with a such eye watering price. Meh
Nice viddy!
no go buy e3000 or mele for joy

Wish I knew what a DAP was
Just ordered mine. Can’t wait to hear them, plus they’re going to be my first pair of Campfires, so I’m REALLY EXCITED!
Hi ☺,I cant agree with that last one statement about the cp100, they can actually bring mindrange more in to your face (that u had right), they can slighty tame trable (that u also had right), but actually can nicely enhance bass also (not tame them) 🙂. And I use both the final Etips and cp100. So from my experience the cp100 can also enhance bass compare to some stock (bass boosting) eartips.
@@cuprajake1 I have never heard cp100 only cp100+. But the cp100+ should be an upgrade in therms of build and sound. Ear tips do different things to different iems. The cp100+ do different things (soundwise) to my kinera nanna 2.0, 7hz salnotes zero and hz sound heart mirror pro for instance. The best way to know is to do some comparisons between tips (tip rolling). But I doubt the cp100+ would destroy the sound in any iem. Buy them and later maybe upgrade them with tip that would fit ur iem better sonicaly(and maybe the cp100+ would be just the best who knows)
@@cuprajake1 u should be fine with cp100+ then. They have good sizing.
Comparing The A series, the B series has more detail and stage?
I had never heard of Astell&Kern until yesterday when I decided to look at DAPs for the first time. I've still rocked minidisc players for many years and I actually did have a Sony Vaio DAP for a while but I am tired of the phone being my music source forced by convenience winning me over. This was a nice overview of how A&K evolved and I appreciated your presentation. We'll see if I crumble and end up actually buying one. I've been eyeing the AK70 MK2.
What this girl from?
🤍🤍
no comparisons...meh
Your ss sedna light tips to go a size smaller was spot on . I am a happy camper😄👍keep the videos coming! I'M stoked to have you giving us great suggestions !
Hi there, how does it compare to TEMPOTEC SONATA HD PRO Which is better in sound quality Thank you so much 🤟🎧
Very good review of phones and series. Have you tried the A4000?
Great review, subscribed
Hello have u tried the xba-n3 sir?
Where to buy the Dauntless ?
More dynamic and resolving compared to what? What is your baseline for measurement/comparison? Every god damn channel uses terms to describe sound when they have no history/experience in sound engineering or production. Components/circuitary - im plementation?
Enjoying your content. Your ability to analyse sound / compare and contrast is better than most hifi reviewers. The general perception was that the A4000 had outstanding sound-stage. Have you reviewed any mid price IEM;s with a super wide left/right + up/down sound stagewith depth and imaging?
I have one, it's pretty dope. Love it's not powered by Android or doesn't have stream services. It does 1 thing and that's play music with impressive sound. Only draw back is that the Bluetooth sucks and the manual doesn't tell you about every setting
Thank you so much for this detailed review, mate! 🙌
Great video really helpful your one of the only people that did this comparison keep up the good work
