Winter Break - Original Tune by Isaac McCarthy
Always wanted to attempt this-finally had a tune I thought would be right for it! This tune is called "Winter Break", which I wrote this week now that finals are done. Thankful for a very great semester and looking forward to more in 2025.
I've never done a multitrack like this before, so plenty of learning curves here. If theres some desync or audio issues I apologize. Still proud of the work I've done!

This is my Final Project for MUSC 470B: Music, Gender, and Sexuality. I wrote this ballad to be a queer ballad, because there were not any I could identify in my research. I claim no skill as a songwriter, banjo player, or singer, but I am proud of the work I did.

Pawpaw is a traditional food in middle America and you guys seem British so I just thought I'd explain that to you you the possums a pie snatcher probably cooling on the windowsill and CliffTop is West Virginia. Great song excellent video. Thanks
I’m from West Virginia, born and raised! This was taken at the 2024 Appalachian String Band Festival, also called Clifftop. The name is really talking about a possum grabbing a pawpaw! I had a grove on my property growing up & am familiar with the fruit.
Our indigenous Mousebirds love eating pawpaw as it grows here in RSA 😂 beauhootiful song love it!
