Actual golf back then I thought was one of the best golf games around wish it would get remade be brilliant

This is the first game I was played back when I was 6, and even now as 20 years old, the stage and feels of physics is just so unique, sim-cade feels as well arcade mode really made me enjoy it especially Impreza in this game that made me like racing game & motorsports

Loved this game. I remember the camera angle bringing plenty funny moments. Like playing a frustrating pass to no one... only for it to turn into an amazing through ball as your guy ran into view.

One of the first PS1 games I ever played. I probably still have a save file on a memory card. Thanks for reviewing a classic.

great game also worth noting much harder than 2.0, with really narrow twisty wet night stages thrown at the player in final two rallys

This was like a mash up of speedball 2, early fifa and final fantasy weirdness

If you want to play arcadey rally game, just play Colin McRae Rally or Rally Champioship 2000 on PC

the only good thing in this game is its music. Which was taken from International Rally Champioship

I don't know that we ever played the campaign, just endless hours of 1v1. We would often just grab the flag and run around to let the music play.

Kenya is, by far, my favourite rally in the whole game. Especially stage 6 of Kenya, which is my absolute favourite stage in the game. I also enjoy Italy, with its twisty stages. On the other hand, the UK rally is complete bullshit on Expert difficulty. The AI makes unrealistic fast times on the stages (AI Colin McRae is the biggest offender), which makes it completely annoying to race in and compete for overall victory.

how do you get the cheat menu up?

Yeah, the bushes in this game might only be knee high, but they're the most impenetrable barrier in the known universe

I completely forgot about this game! I had it , maybe I was 5 or 6. And I liked it then, seeing those night stages brings back memories..

The Christmas I got a PS1 it came with vrally and I remember being blown away by the graphics 😃 at this time it was also so cool to see current liveries on the cars. I didn’t play Makkinen rally but based on this video I’d say vrally beats it

Played the heck out of IRC back in the day, loved this game. I even hacked (read edit 😂) the control .ini so I had analog throttle/brake on a seperate joystick axis to support a twin stick gamepad. Never played Tommi Makinen Rally but will check it out.

4:44 While it shows 18 sets of levels, there is a secret set. once you get through the 18 level sets shown, there is a 19th that becomes accessible by scrolling up off the top of the list. They are so stupidly hard that I have no idea if there is a 20th. And yes, I did it without using cheats. I played that game so much on my PS1 that the display at the bottom got burned into the TV screen. 7:17 Yup! Pop up, take some shots, go back in the bunker, repeat.

I did complete Toy Story 2 as a child but I have to admit, what did spook me out completely was the Lifeforce Tenka demo on the demo one disc. I just couldn't bring myself to play through it back then.

Oh man, I just remembered this game. My son and I used to play each other on my old Playstation, ended up buying a second copy as the orriginal got scratched up to much to load. Is there a way to play this on the PC by chance?

I have finished all the levels on the pc version. I took me almost a year on an off. there is no speedrun. some maps take hours..

To be fair, FIFA RTWC 1998 was actually the first really good Fifa game. It just so happened that ISS was way ahead of the curve right from their 1997 debut - by 1998, you had 2 great football games with ISS being the better. By ISS Pro Evolution Soccer, there was only one clear winner. Many would argue that it wasn't until FIFA '09 or FIFA '10 that they regained the crown. Still some decent Pro Evo offerings during that time but the writing was on the wall...gutting to have no competition these days!

I remember buying the second one on a Saturday morning, then playing it all day and night until the sun came up - loving every second of it!! Only stopping when I heard my mum getting up in the morning!! Funnily enough though, I don't think I ever went back to it - overall prefering the first one... 👍

I knew about Andy Sinton and Chris Woods (I've got a demo disc that showed a lot of behind the scenes and developer interviews) but I didn't know Graham Hyde was involved in the motion capture!!?? I loved this game back in the day!!... Until FIFA 97!! 😂

Absolutely love this game!! I went back to it recently. I use my PS3 when I'm playing PAL region PS1, - the Dual Shock 3 and Six axis controllers I have felt too spongy to use any of the old mashing techniques!! So I switched over to my modded/chipped PS1 but even then I just about qualified... 😮 Must be getting old!! 😂

Damn, what a nostalgia. I used to play it with my childhood best friend. My friend is no longer with us, but when I think of him, I think of games like this, we used to play together.

the uk rally is so bad, half of time you cant even see where you need to go

I was too young to play this game back in the day, but I played Athens 2004 and London 2012 official Olympics games, so I'm looking forward to play this Track & Field saga in emulators. Thanks for making this video!

I've been trying to beat Buzz for 6 months in vs mode. This is the HARDEST game I've ever stuck with. Burger Time, T&C Surf Design, Marble Madness, Ghost and Goblins... Hot Shots Golf is the the GOAT of hard ass games.
