He is reflecred on the hard things... maybe like we as their friends do
Seen erm many times and just two or three ago they were ruling and didn't want to stop playing either
Hate comments? Why? She's badass
Legend
hero
Hope to go one day ❤🎉
This woman is such a powerhouse. Such a legit artist. Love her so much.
I love this guy so fucking much
Well let's be honest Cult of Luna created an amazing album not CoL + Julie...they just put Julie's vocals in the right places 😂
i very earnestly doubt that she just recorded a bunch of random vocal lines that they snipped together man. have you ever written a single song lmfao
Julie Is the best thing happened to Cult of Luna. So far
J. K. Broadrick - Sage Mentor Extreme
Great bloke. Thanks Justin.
the lapel mic doesn't appear to be working
Anxiety is a biiiiiitch, much love to Justin for opening up about it like this, many of us are fighting the same battle ✊
I don't find this music to negative <3
This was posted two weeks after the accident. Weird. I guess they recorded it before the thing.
❤❤❤❤
Ah yes, "love their music, not the vocals, so hopefully now with Julie we gave them that". Spot on.
I had a strange sort of opposite experience. First CoL I album I listened to was Vertikal 1 and 2, then Somewhere Along the Highway. Initially, I was like “I wish he’d sing less, because they are so unbelievably talented musically.” Then, I heard Mariner for the first time, and I simply didn’t care for it. I was like “Who is Julie Christmas and why is she fucking up my CoL?” Johannes screaming vocals had begun to grow on me around then, because I was able to understand the words now. I went through the rest of their discography over a year, and loved everything. Then I finally watched the live performance of Mariner, and it suddenly grabbed me by the soul on track 3… so, there isn’t a single CoL album that I don’t at least like, and I absolutely adore most of them. Interesting how we all arrive at similar conclusions through very different paths.
@@RedSky-vf8bf Johannes didn't sing on Somewhere Along the Highway tho
Jesu my favorite project
He needs get back to sing for Napalm Death !!!
I know I'm late as hell to finding this album, but damn. It is a special album. I really hope they do collaborate again in the future. It's crazy that they could create such an amazing album without even having met each other, but just imagine what they could do with more time to develop their already amazing musical chemistry.
Well let's be honest Cult of Luna created an amazing album not CoL + Julie...they just put Julie's vocals in the right places 😂
@@FA9082 Yeah, I know they did most of the heavy lifting as far as writing and playing go, but her vocals just have that thing that makes them so unique and it fits in so perfectly with CoL's writing. They wrote and performed a great album, but I think Julie's vocals take it to the next level and in my opinion the album wouldn't be nearly as special without her.
I saw Julie in Budapest 2010 and I will never forget her amazing & crazy performance. Who cares about haters. F*ck 'em.
Is so weird that he is one of the pioneers of grindcore
Roadburn catches me as the festival you attend for a single 'legendary' show, only for new mythologies to unfurl before you. Not a bad band insight.
Justin is my guy! Nothing but love!!!
m(_ _)m
we are not conquerors
Bell witch was in real time purtity
GODFLESH
Jesu is the best
Unlike most bands, I think the last GODFLESH albums are the best! "Postflesh" and "A World Lit Only By Fire" there are some incredibly powerful pieces of music. The same goes for NERO, the band's last song in 2023.
Can someone tell me the artist and song of the music starting at around 1:20?
Wreck of ss needle
This dude is such a boss yet so humble
My favourite song of Justin's is "I believe in a thing called love".
Justin's such a nice guy. Thanks for the insight 😬👊🏼
losing streak
I think when it come to monster/death rock, your vocals are the best and I agree with her you guys are so awesome together.
just ordered my ticket for 2022. im so excited!
What is the name of the band from Finland he likes so much that he announces in the first minute ?? Can you tell?
Abyssion. Finnish black metal band.
@@cowboi5457 thank you 🙏🏽
Love this man He is highly overlooked by so many in the industry. Way ahead of his time.. Godflesh had their own style that can not be duplicated..
The live segments, what a fucking sound, still.
True legend and personal hero
Imagine Nik, Justin and Mick doin the real ND shit live nowadays 🖤
ahhhhh fuck so cute
Been listening to alot of godflesh since the pandemic, lockdown, isolation. Its july 2021 now. Still blasting godflesh and jesu
Great interview.
Joe Preston filling in on bass was fantastic
If there was an artist I could say I felt heartfelt love for... it's JKB! To meet him would reduce me to tatters...
I have his autograph.
Great interview, perhaps the most accessable I have seem him yet in the 30 years ive been a fan.
I wish he could have made Sumac a bit heavier
