One thing i don't know how to do, with the cineon+ LUT technic, is how to adjust the presence of the LUT .... Since decreasing the LUT node through the key will only reveal the Flat Cineon output. i wish i could put both these nodes into a group and adjust the transparency of this group at once ...

THE PERFECT EXAMPLE is it acts like the layers in the photoshop , the only difrence is the nodes in the bottom are more dominant layers , just the oposite in the photoshop where the top layers are the dominant ones ,or which can effect the layers in the bottom

So with this way you don't need CST to convert your footage to rec709?

Hi Anton, Thanks for posting this. With intensity, you mentioned that moving to 50 is 50% intensity. My understanding is that it is equivalent to 0% at 50, anything below 50 is then moving to negative%. I wouldn’t stake my life on this but if you could confirm what you have said is correct it would be a great help with this learning curve I’m on. Thanks.

If you want to refine this technique you might be interested in Cullen Kellys video: Grade School: Pro Colorist Shares His Current Favorite Techniques in Resolve, min 19. He adds an Aces transform to ADX10 prior to the CST. The reasoning behind it is that the lut is not expecting 709 color space.

Much appreciated and same concerns🙃 Two things: 1) Now you do not do the primary changes "before the transform" - correct? And how does that affect? 2. If you do anything on the timeline level - how does that change things IF color managed? After all if you chose the Non color managed you're still working in the DWG timeline if you choose so... So many questions but I think this is one of the things that someone should explain once and for all thoroughly so you can then decide what works for you - it anyway such a technical thing that it should be "math" in that sense...

What was the ISO ON THIS SHOT and the 1/?

Just curious what GPU you have? Magic mask takes mine 2min for a 15sec clip typically. My GPU was only 450$
