Eating disorders NO ONE TALKS ABOUT! Type 1 diabetes and Diabulimia | Ep 193
Would you put your health at risk to lose weight? What if you lost 10 kgs but it meant also losing your eyesight, kidney failure or a coma? Today's episode is going to take a deep dive into type 1 diabetes and the comorbidity with eating disorders. The fact that eating disorders are more prevalent in young women with type 1 diabetes has been well documented (Affenito et al, 1997; Rodin et al, 1986; Rydall et al, 1997; Pinar, 2005).The omission of insulin in order to promote weight loss is much less understood and researched, sugar goes high - ketoacidosis - burns your fat instead. Type 1 diabetics need to inject insulin to control their blood sugar and burns carbs

I use a monthly whiteboard calendar to visually see appointments, kids activities, car regos and events. I mentally can’t play the dummy, hubby n I work different ends of the days so we each have responsibility for the kids. I was done doing the housework every weekend after a full week so I quit and hired a cleaner once a fortnight so we only have to do the in between stuff my kids also have responsibilities.. everyone makes mess, everyone helps to clean, And Sunday’s are a 12pm sleep in day.

Hey! I have developed this issue due to extreme stress and expectations from society and a controlling family member as well, and for me It's not linked to my body image or an eating disorder. I actually love food and always thought diets were stupid, and I always allowed myself to just eat what I wanted. So, if you are interested in knowing anything about it, I am willing to answer you!

I think that people with ADHD are at higher risk of developing addictions of several kinds. One of these is sex and love addiction. In my experience people with ADHD have a harder time recovering from sex and love addiction. Sex and love addiction can be a reason why people fall into a pattern of affairs and extramarital sex.

Thank-you for today’s episode. My teenager left the table quickly yesterday (twice) and I heard her getting sick. I didn’t say anything but brought it to our family therapist’s attention. LMAO the most embarrassing moment of my life was when I was looking for a bathroom in Dubai and the male symbol was the outline of a man in a long white robe and I thought it was the symbol of womens bathroom!! Luckily a man ran after me before I opened the door and told me it was the wrong bathroom. I nearly died lmao.

Nope! I have DID and I’m not getting into any relationship not because I think any alter would be unkind but because I’m too much of a people pleaser. I need to integrate with my shadow so I’m not at risk for being exploited! All my friendships are long term and healthy so I doubt I’d have romantic relationship issues if the man is respectful and not to clingy. Just Normal low neurotic men with some empathy are my cup of tea ☕️ People with untreated bpd lack self awareness and can’t think in nuance to save their life. The lack of emotional permanence means they are likely to abuse when splitting! Not moral at all but since they can’t stand to be alone they’ll probably reel in some poor sad fuck! My advice is they get intensive therapy and see if they can at least maintain friendships. If they can’t do that then a romantic relationship is not going to work out

One minute in, I can't take advice from a gay guy who thinks he's a mental health expert when his own mental health is off the charts in the negative direction. He's got gender dysphoria issues. - Forget all that - As I'm obviously not going to finish this video - How do you fix the issue of not having an apatite due to tummy shrinking due to mechanical problems with eating? I can't fix the main cause, I don't have 100K dollars for implants.

Can you do a video on DID. I don’t have BPD. But I heard some therapists saying DID is really BPD! I absolutely don’t have BPD my counselor says I don’t have it. I have many long term relationships and no fears of abandonment. No cutting not suicidal feelings. Because my alters keep feelings and trauma flashbacks away from me. I just feel like I’m intoxicated all the time and I have alters that take over the body and call my friends or buy stuff or make me forget therapy. I don’t think I’m even that traumatized but other people asked me where I was when I’d disappear so it was scary. But it’s a totally different disorder than borderline and I think because people hype it up to fantastical lengths it makes it harder for those of us who have DID. I don’t have overt switches. I am very avoiding of people beyond my friends and live as a hermit because I’m so afraid. The dissociation can make me fall asleep and lose consciousness when I get overwhelmed. Also have siezure like activity at night from the stress but I don’t think they are true siezures because Im half conscious and biting my tongue makes me stop shaking and wake fully up. I heard it’s a Totally different neurobiology than BPD I wish clinicians would stop gatekeeping DID it don’t think it’s not as rare as they make out. It’s just a sneaky disorder. I didn’t know I had it. I thought I was possessed when I developed consciousness. I had symptoms before I met my therapist so I wish people would stop saying therapist cause this. It’s invalidating and rotten to do this to people suffering from this disorder. I feel like DID not BPD is the red headed stepchild of the dsm. I’m not even that weird. I don’t tell people when I’m switching or the names of my alters! I’m very private in real life !
