Youth Ambassadors Conference 2024 | Justice Desk Africa
Justice Desk Africa’s Youth Ambassadors Program empowers youth across Africa to become human rights defenders in their communities.
From 1-3 July 2024, we hosted the annual Youth Ambassadors Conference in Stellenbosch, gathering 74 learners and teachers from 24 schools.
With the theme ‘Building Connections through Activism: Empowering Youth for Social Change,’ the event featured workshops, talks, and group activities aimed at promoting human rights, child protection, and social justice. Participants collaborated to learn effective advocacy and create meaningful change.

I agree that people with disabilities are scorned apon with very little thought to the difficulties of everyday life ? Access to buildings , the state of the pathways are to dangerous to walk with crutches or even a wheel chair . Alot of people use the disabled parking , that makes it even more difficult fo get to the entrance to a shopping centre , finding a toilet and finding a toilet the that is suitable for a person with with impediments is very seldom thought of 🙄 The last thing i would like to say is motorists complain about the roads being in poor condition , i don't think there vehicles would last a week on the pavements . Do we not have departments of health + safety that should be proactively checking walkways and general buuildings , if not for sake of the disabled it would decrease the number of unemployment as a lot of people could be taken for inspection , reporting and then to maintenance teams around all provinces as it is a pathetic showing , to all people . a maintenace maintenace team
