Ok, I love this! I have wanted to start my channel for YEARS. And after having my first baby this year, and getting some maternity leave from my job, I decided to just START. I am still very small, but trying to enjoy the process. Thanks for your great videos!

Random older male viewer looking for 'practical' Christmas decorating ideas.....I like your style!! I got over 'trends ~ 35 years ago...lol I like decorating for the seasons, especially Christmas! I'm sure YT 'influencers' would not like my style...I decorate in a late 50s - early 60s style....flocked tree, multi-colored lights, bright ornaments, train around the base of the tree....all the childhood feels. And that's what's really important about decorating......if it makes your heart happy that's all that counts!! Have a great Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas!

Loved watching this video and seeing how you live over there. Your boys are so sweet. The scripture memorization is the cutest. You must film those often for keep sakes. I also allow my kids to watch some shows when I cook. Honestly the only way I got cooking done when they were smaller and now it is just sort of part of the routine. It is very cool how you raise your own animals for food, but I must say, I would never be able to eat my own animals, especially after naming them 😅 I get too attached. I actually went off meat for 5 years after saving a chicken on the farm where I keep my horses and had to go home to cook a chicken I had taken out to defrost. I couldn’t eat it 😂 We live in a small coastal town in South Africa and have four hens which we also feed non-gmo and get eggs from them, it is an amazing feeling knowing where our eggs come from. We did get 3 fertilized eggs from a friend when one of our hens went broody. At least only one chick turned out to be a rooster, we are already crying about having to give him away because we are not allowed roosters in town.

I have deleted Facebook off my phone a while back and it is so freeing and also decided to stop waisting my time creating content on Instagram, my experience has also been that it is too time consuming to keep up with it. I might post the odd update now and the, but will see how things go. Giving TH-cam a try again and just managed to finally post my video since niching down. Loving your videos and the simplicity and honesty of it. I think in a world of so much fake, people are finding real and honest more refreshing.

I had hundreds of friends on Facebook years ago. I have known these people since kindergarten and all through middle age. Finally, after getting tired of the nonsense, I posted that I was deleting my account, but everyone was welcome to text or call me. Facebook turned dark when I had married men sending me DMs because they wanted extra female attention (I blocked them) and other friends who wanted me to be their 24/7 free counselor. I had just gone through a bad divorce and was struggling as a single mom. If anyone needed help, it was me, and I felt drained of my energy. Only about three people did reach out to me in real life, and not very often. Facebook makes it easy for people to be lazy with their relationships. As we know, relationships take effort, so it's sad when people take the easy way. I have a Facebook and Instagram account and a few others now, but they're only for breaking news. I don't "socialize" with them and share very little. Unfortunately, these apps, like TH-cam, offer the best breaking news information because they are so fast.
