Honestly where the dead go to die is weirdly nostalgic for me and i kinda love it. Like i haven't watched it, and i dont think i will either, but i remember being a kid and becoming extremely intrigued by that movie because of how uniquely strange and awful it is, and i kinda became obsessed with learning about everything about it. Fun fact: Blank Room Soup is responsible for how I discovered Stolen Babies, which is a band I discovered back in 2022. I watched another iceberg video talking about the series, and learned that the third video of the blank room soup series has one of the band members. Plus, the Rayray characters were in promotional material and in the music video for Push Button, which is in Stolen Babies’ first album “They be squabbles ahead”. Also, the lead singer of Stolen Babies and the creator of the Rayray project are siblings.

You got the Plague Dogs summary wrong. The hunter accidentally shot in the face is NOT the owner of Snitter or Rowf. Snitter lost his owner in an unrelated road accident. The hunter is just an unrelated third party and in the book some hunters are pursuing the Todd/Male Fox and he gives up his life to let Rowf and Snitter make a get away.

King of Pigs is so disturbing I couldn't finish it. That is EXACTLY how I remember school in Michigan and Ohio in the 80's and 90's. Seriously - no exaggeration. There was even a suicide on the school grounds that the teachers brushed off as "God's way of weeding out the weak ones." Bullying is a Hell that folks refuse to take seriously for some bizarre reason. The film is far too accurate a portrayl for me to watch. Too much buried trauma.

In regards to When the Wind Blows, I think Jim was always aware of the danger, especially after the bomb hits (hense his reaction to the announcement of the fall), and was pretending that it's no big deal for his wife's emotional comfort. As for his wife, I almost feel like she may be experiencing the early stages of dementia (the fairy scene) and might not have been able to fully comprehend the situation, and it CERTAINLY wouldn't do her any good to get her to understand that her world had ended.
